Here's the real thing about "Christmas was originally a pagan holiday":

Like we can go on and on about why it's not true (and it's not) but even if it was why on earth should I give a shit? It's not like that changes any of the facts of what we are actually celebrating? Why should it bother me if the particular traditions surrounding Jesus birthday party?

It's like saying that the 4th of July stole fireworks from the Chinese. Like... Okay? The declaration of Independence still happened tho. Who cares who designed the party favors.

Even if it wasn't pagan all of the traditions surrounding Christmas developed decades, centuries and millennia after the fact. None of it is inherent to the actual event.

And none of it matters BECAUSE IT'S ALL JUST THE BIRTHDAY PARTY. Bickering over who planned the party doesn't mean the birth itself is somehow now in question. Like I'm oversimplifying a bit here, but do you see why I don't care?
