Rampage of thoughts

It fascinates me that some would assume that they know so much about you when technically they know so little. To put themselves in a pedestal by telling that you're at the bottom of the pyramid. How much ego can anyone accumulate? And how much ego can anyone handle before they resort into limitless verbal diarrhea? Humility takes its toll upon meeting these people. As you down play your credentials, you are prone to belittling remarks and borderline insulting statements. Of course you will smile and take their sh*t. You can step up and defend yourself. A useless and fruitless effort. Their kind would just shrug it off. In their mind, they're bigger than life and you're one of those foot soldiers in the battlefield. What I did? Cut off the conversation and walk away. Equally reminding myself to never have chit chat with their kind, ever!
