where is the real me?

I may have been born in Jotunheim, but I was raised in Asgard. And yet I am neither Jotun nor God. Not truly. So what exactly does that make me? For many years I pondered that question before finally realizing the answer: I am... Loki. And a Loki isn't a slave to the whims of his ancestors. A Loki writes his own story. God/Goddess of stories and Mistress of Strategies.

   don’t compliment morally ambiguous gods ; don’t compliment morally ambiguous gods ; don’t compliment morally ambiguous gods – “ your outfit is seriously rad, has anyone ever told you that ?? ”  kon’s about ninety percent sure that someone’s already told said morally ambiguous god that before, but it’s worth repeating.  “ where do you get a jacket like that? ” kon has to know.  for science and style alike.  never mind that his current jacket is littered with bullet holes. 

    a small grin begins to form at the compliment, clearly pleased by the attention. loki was hardly a person that didn’t enjoy commanding attention. in fact, he absolutely delighted in doing just that. glancing down at said jacket in question, the god gives a small shrug. “what can i say, i just know what i look good in. as for there where, it’s magic. perks of sorcery and all -- i get to create my own clothing. helps out a lot when i can never find anything else that would my very specific style.” loki eyes the other, taking in his appearance. “seems you’ve ruined yours. a pity, it looks dashing.”

it goes to say something for having a bunch of sneaky teammates and a lifetime of ambushes that clint doesn’t verbally swear up a storm. …at first. but the sudden appearance still makes him jump, sending hot coffee to spill down his entire front. “ holy %&*$ – why? ” the question isn’t even directed at loki, per se, more the universe as a whole. it takes another moment, to remind himself that kate would probably have something to say if he tried to maim her teammate, and still he decides to chuck the nearest cushion at the god. real threatening, barton. “ just a question. knocking like… isn’t a thing up there in asgard, or what? no, no food, the only scrounger allowed in these parts is the dog. ”

     there’s a small grimace at the sight of the coffee being spilled, a small semblance of oops. maybe he should have given a slight warning but it wasn’t like the god knew clint was in the middle of drinking hot coffee. ah, well. green eyes widen at the sight of the projectile coming his way once he settles down, reaching up to grab it before it could actually smack him in the face. “my cushion now,” he huffs, holding it to his chest. “not normally. the amount of times my oaf of a brother barged into my room while i was reading was staggering. besides, this is an easier way of moving about.” lips pursing, loki moves to a sitting position, cushion still wrapped up in his arms. “and here i was hoping you’d have pizza for little old me. or something. help a poor god out here, barton.”

      there was absolutely no warning to the actions. loki never did see a need for it, nor ever would despite what others may say. it was just simple -- one minute he wasn’t in the room, and at the very next the god was stretched out over the couch, allowing himself to get comfy in a home that was clearly not his own. “why hello there, barton. funny to see you here,” the god drawled out, amusement clearly written on his features. “figured i might pop in for a bit, see what you were up to. or rather, what you were getting for dinner. i am a bit hungry.”

“Uh -” Harry skids to a stop, almost comically, and looks down at the three pizza boxes tucked under his arm. He had completely intended to eat them himself - listen, it’s been a year, but he’s still not used to his crazy appetite. He could easily demolish three pizzas and wouldn’t think twice about it. Hell, he’d go back for ice cream later.

But he knows full well that’s not normal. It makes way more sense to assume he got three pizzas to share. “Yeah, of course you can have a slice.” He answers, setting the boxes down and opening the top one so they can take a slice of the pepperoni pizza inside. “Just the one though, this isn’t a pizza charity.”

    it was more than a little absurd to see someone running about with multiple boxes of pizza under their arm. hardly the weirdest thing that the god had ever seen before, though it was certainly enough to give some amusement. “so you’re telling me that i am only one allowed one slice while you get all the others?? my, most would say that would be rather greedy.” he flashes a slow, teasing grin, reaching for one of the slices. loki was hardly going to turn down free food, please. “i’m curious, though -- why so many pizzas?? mortals hardly eat that much from my experience.”

( ezra miller/zoey deutch / 1000+ / he/him/she/her/they/them ) – hey, have you noticed [ THE GOD/GODDESS OF STORIES ] around lately? rumor is they’re from [ ASGARD/JOTUNHEIM ]. out of costume, i think they go by [ LOKI ] !! their [ SORCERY & ASGARDIAN/FROST GIANT PHYSIOLOGY ] make them a perfect fit for [ THE YOUNG AVENGERS ].

loki was known to many as the go of mischief who caused numerous things and hurt a lot of people that stood against him. he was seen as a villain despite just wanting to be seen and accepted

i mainly stick to 616 canon with some influences from mcu. namely the first avengers film with the villain role

was killed by the void when trying to actually do something good for once. clearly didn’t end up well.

while loki did die, a deal was made to wipe his name from the book of hel to be reborn with a clean slate. however, this was a completely new loki

this new version was haunted by the evil version of himself, and he was able to turn that version of himself into a crow named ikol

unfortunately ikol convinced the young loki to sacrifice himself, and ikol killed him, and took the younger loki’s body. this, however, caused ikol to feel great grief at what he had done and everything else done in the past

in the new body, loki chose to become a better person than the other version of himself.

he is a member of the young avengers

loki is a shapeshifter so form can often shift. pronouns depend on the day and what loki is feeling. it could be she, he, or they/them. just depends on what loki is feeling at the time

while loki is trying to be better than the other version of himself, there is still mischief there. under that is the yearning for people to finally accept that they’ve grown and become a better person rather than just a villain

as for abilities, loki has frost giant/asgardian physiology that grants superhuman abilities, and a regenerative healing factor

loki is also an incredibly skilled and powerful sorcerer, able to use magic in many forms.

at this moment in time, loki no longer goes by the god of mischief. it is instead the god/goddess of stories, and mistress of strategies.
