hello, how about the writers/beta readers? will that be chosen anonymously as well?

Hello! I wasn't very sure about the answer so it took me a moment, but since the working flow between writers and betas is much more intertwined (and we have little time) you can bring your own beta to the mini-bang.

They just need to sign up in the form and then tell me they are gonna be paired.

The writers that don't have a beta yet will go through the claiming process and their story will be chose anonymously by the unpaired beta readers.

Do we have content restrictions on the fics? Tropes we can't write about?

Hi! This mini-bang follow the strict Kinktomato rule: "Your Kink Is Not My Kink (And That's OK)".

You have no content restriction, the only thing you need to do is to disclose all the Tags and Warnings for the claiming process, you need to make it very clear for the artist and the beta-reader if they want to work on your story.

For publication you can use the proper tags and warnings or the "Creator choose to not use archive warning" option and not disclose all the tags, it's your choice as an author (even if personally I would have a way to let the reader know as a courtesy to avoid their squicks).

hi this mini band sounds so fun!! I'm just wondering how explicitly gcest you want fics? like atm I seem to only be able to write them as kids so the incestuous vibes are there but not explicitly stated bc it's still developing if that makes sense?

Hi! It's ok for them to be at the developing stage, no problem! We should just be able to tell that it's not just a brotherly love, even if they are not fully conscious of it still.

The fic can be of any content rating if it's "Liam/Noel" and not a "Liam & Noel" story basically!

hello! ive never participated in a mini-bang before so could i get clarification on the artist's role? is it to draw supplementary art for their assigned/chosen fic? how would that work, as in: do artists get an excerpt or prompt from the writers to go off of, or will this involve waiting for the writers to finish their portion first? much thanks for hosting this btw xx

Hi!❤️ As an artist you will receive from your writer an early draft (at least half fic written or the equivalent), the summary and the tags.

From this you can start doing your artwork ispired by the story (you can choose to do a specific scene or piece that capture the overral feelings of the story, like a cover for a book would).

It will depends a bit on how much your writer will have have written for the summary claim, but even if they are running a little bit behind, you could both have a talk about the story and the important scenes so you could get started (since the schedule for artists is tighter than the writers you should start right away).

Will the artists and writers be paired at random or is it possible to make requests?

Hi! It will be by claiming; the writers will share a summary of their fic and the tags/warnings, I will compile them in an anonymous list and the artists will claim three of them in order of preference.

We will probably have more writers than artists tho, so I have to figure out how to bridge that gap (but I'll be waiting until I see how many writers/artist will sign up).

I was thinking an artwork for fic (but I think it should at least be a bit proportional. If someone wips out 10k then I think it should warrant more than one illustration, but that can be discussed (maybe another artist could chip in! or maybe the writer is ok with just one piece).

Also there's some wiggle room with the publication if you need more time!

can you participate if you want to post your fic anonymously?

Hi! I don't know exactly how that would work to do the check-ins and the publications (me and your artist would need at least an email to contact you).

If that's ok with you then yes! (but maybe it would be fun if you made an alt-email and account? I also had two, to not mix my problematique fandoms with old normie ones, but I understand if that's not your thing.)

iMPORTANT SIGN-UP INFO:

Writers: Sign-Ups open from the 14th until the 24th of JUNE

Artists/Beta Readers: Sign-Ups open from the 14th of June until the 15th of JULY

(but send me an ask if you want to participate after the deadline, we have wiggle room!)

GENERAL RULES:

The minimum fic length is 2500 words.

Entries must be gcest or have the gcest as a main focus

It's possible to sign up both as a writer and artist but you can't claim your own work.

All of this is to make an advent-calendar of the documentary, so we can all frick out together at the end of the count-down, so ideally we start publishing the 11th of August (but again, we have wiggle room so everyone can have fun)
