As I no longer feel comfortable on this blog (which is why I haven't been on here due to what happened a bit ago), I'm moving Hibiki back to my multi and just leaving this blog up as a sort of archive.
I apologize to those who wanted to rp with me here. I just can't deal with the feeling of uncomfortable-ness on this blog at all.
The cyan haired man was not used to opening the door for people in Pico’s apartment of all places. But he was told that there was mail showing up here and to ‘make sure nothing blows up by the time I get back.’ was more or less the quote he was given. So for there to be a person there asking for a place to stay rather than just drop something off was unusual if it was not Nene, Darnell or Otis.
“[Not my apartment. Belongs to one of my partners.]” BF clarified, speaking in beeps and boops while using both hands to sign his words. Giving a shrug of his shoulders, a quick glance over gave him enough info that the gal before him did not mean harm. If anything, the girl seemed sown on her luck and just needed a place to stay for only a little while. “[I’ll let him know though.]”
Moving to the side, he gestured the other to come in. but not before warning her about the scents and sights in the apartment. The faint scent of a certain drug. But the windows had been open and the small man had been leaving a ceramic wax melter running in the kitchen area that left a wave of some lavender and roses to waft through the complex.
As for the sights, well.. it has seen better days. Granted, there were attempts to repair and restore holes, wear and tear. Though it was now holding a slight charm of going through the wars, but still standing. Much like the temporary owner. On the other hand, there was only so much a few young adults could do without having to result to magic to keep evidence of bullet holes in the ceiling in the living area– hidden. At least any and all weapons that were stashed in the apartment were well hidden. So it was not like the rapper was defenseless by any means.
BF was already running through the ways he could bring this up with Pico, since he was out for the day due to a mission or three that were lined up. And it was unlikely for the mercenary to return until late tonight, if not very early the following morning. Either way, the rapper owed the freelancer big time.
IT WASN’T PICO who answered the door, but a shorter blue-haired man. She had been told that, if it was serious, she was to come here and ask if she could crash for a few days. A code set up in case her life had come into danger, which it had. She’d only been here once before, when the two of them had set things up for her protection.
He’d learned about Miku, after all, and hadn’t liked what he heard. But she hadn’t learned anything more about him beyond the fact he lived here... though he was pretty trustworthy, given that Shishou had given him a pass while working with them during the Shem-Ha incident.
❝ Yeah, I know who it belongs to, ❞ she said with a shake of her head, stepping inside once she was allowed access. ❝ He and I worked together for a while on some jobs for Hatsune-san, so we got to know each other a bit. ❞
More like he had gotten to know her more than she knew about him. But that was fine, as long as he didn’t turn out like Miku. The last thing she needed was two Mikus thinking that Hibiki belonged to them and no one else after giving her the cold shoulder. Ugh.
❝ Thanks for letting him know. ❞
Of course it smelled like weed in here. Despite Japan’s loosened stance on the drug due to its benefits from overseas, it was still not really allowed in certain prefectures of the country. This was one of them, though Pico had to get caught with it to get into any form of trouble. A sigh left her as she headed over to the fridge and opened it, pulling out a few ingredients before shutting it and going to start cutting up some vegetables.
❝ I’m going to make a pseudo beef bowl. You want one of your own? ❞
“Oooo, yes please!” Grim perked up, nose wiggling. Fish fry? Fish fry! He’s already getting his frying pan and knife out.
❝ WELL YOU CAN take as many as you want. I went a little overboard in spacing out while I fished, so there’s too much for me to eat on my own, ❞ she admitted, pushing the bucket towards him. ❝ Hibiki, by the way. What about you? ❞
“How confident are you that you can find an apartment so quickly? Especially at this time of year. It’s okay if you stay longer, but… you know… not too long.”
“Also… you’re getting the couch. Hope you don’t mind.”
WHAT a weird person, saying she could crash and then saying she couldn’t stay for too long. A couple of days was too long for most people she knew, so it was best if she got out sooner.
❝ I have connections, ❞ she said with a shrug. ❝ It’s easy when you know people that know other people. ❞
"I heard you needed a place to crash, is that right?" Oh well, Ruby had good ears. "You can stay at one of places I own free of charge."
❝ THAT'S right, I do. ❞ Because she couldn't keep living where she was before. Miku would just come back. ❝ Free of charge? There's no strings attached? .....If it's for real, I'll take it. ❞
“Sure, that’s fine. Part of me always wanted to know what having a roommate would be like. … also, I hope that you enjoy instant soup. I can’t resist buying it.”
❝ IT will only be for a couple days until I find a new apartment. Don’t worry about food, I can buy my own from the local konbini. ❞
She stared at the picture that was on the nightstand. A picture before she learned of what type of person Miku really was, before she even knew that Miku didn’t think of her as just a friend.
Back when she had shorter hair, before she’d let it grow out of her own volition. It was in her bedroom for some reason, and Hibiki didn’t know why.
It was a relic of ages past. A relic of her younger, more naive years. But she froze upon hearing the same voice from back then, too.
“Hibiki...” She was standing in the doorway. Hibiki continued to stare at the picture before slowly looking at the girl who had decided to give her the cold shoulder and an abusive treatment over a secret that she’d kept for her own safety. “Hibiki, I-”
“Shut up.” Hibiki stated. “Are you the one who put this here?”
“We’re friends, Hibiki, so I thought you might like-”
“We’re not friends, Miku. We stopped being friends when you decided to shut me out over something that I was keeping for your own safety.” She grabbed the picture, throwing it at Miku. There was a slight satisfaction hearing the shattering of the glass. Oh, how she wished it had hit Miku. “‘We don’t keep secrets from each other’, when you could’ve been in danger! You know how much that hurt me, Miku?! I thought you had been my friend, and would understand that it was for your own good!”
“Nothing should’ve been kept secret from me!” Miku shouted back. “You and I never kept secrets from each other, so why start then?!”
“Yeah, right! You kept it a secret you were going to Lydian up until you learned of how everyone was treating me after the incident! Oh, and let’s not forget you literally abandoning me at a concert for a duo I didn’t know of! I bet the whole Aunt-in-an-accident thing was a lie and you just wanted me to be alone!”
“You are mine, Hibiki! Your love, your body, everything! Mine!” Miku stepped over the picture frame, heading towards Hibiki. “And I’m not letting you go anymore... We’ll be together forever.”
“I’m not your friend anymore, Miku. Accept it and move on.” Hibiki said.
“No. Because you’re all I have. You cruelly cut me out and forgot I even existed. I wanted to remind you, Hibiki, that I’m your only friend and your only love.” As Miku continued to advance, Hibiki looked towards the window. They were pretty high up, but she wasn’t going to stay here with Miku.
Turning to the window, Hibiki ran at it and tucked her body as she crashed through the glass.
“Balwysiall nescell Gungnir tron.” The holy chant came easily, as Hibiki adorned the armor of the Symphogear, Gungnir. Jumping onto the roof of the nearby building after landing on the ground, she stared at the girl staring up at her from the broken window. Miku was yelling something at her, but she could care less about that. Turning away, scarf fluttering in the cold winter air, Hibiki started to jump from roof to roof to put distance between her and Miku.
“I need to find a new place to live,” Hibiki murmured to herself as she hopped onto a skyscraper. “Away from Miku, and a place she’ll never find me at.”
