A very out-of-the-blue sentence coming from the upper level of the platform, wherea girl with red hair and cyan eyes was directly looking at the Autobot just arrived at the base.

She was a new member of the team of course, and a very curious and friendly-speaking one.

Cliffjumper pauses.

He's recently been out getting some exercise in, testing his recovery by letting his engine get some run time. He hadn't expected a whole new human to pop up i the meantime.

But like many things in his life, the warrior takes it in stride, resting his fists on his hip plating before tipping his chin up slightly.

"Well, it's like I like to say... ya mess with the bull, ya get the horns!"

The touch startles him a little bit. His own Optimus isn't particularly touchy, per se. He never has been. So it's a bit surprising, to say the least, to have one handle him in such a way.

Not that he's necessarily opposed. Cliffjumper has always been a touchy kind of guy anyway.

Still, he's very quiet for a moment as he waits for what'll happen. And finally, after a few moments, he ducks his head as best he can with a faint laugh, half grinning. His usual deflection.

"What? Do I got something on my face?"

Arcee’s presence is familiar. Warm, comforting, and most importantly of all, safe. For all the that he'd gone through, he trusted her more than just about anyone else save a select few, and her presence was a balm when his frustration started to creep up on him.

Sighing, the soldier lets his shoulders slouch, pressing his face into the the touch, optics dim.

He's honestly never been happier to just have her here.

She worries so much, about every little thing, and he admires her just as much for it now as he started to when they first met.

“I think he’ll do just fine. He’s got one of the best warriors I know at his back. So long as he follows your lead, he’ll be kicking aft in no time.” His smile widens just slightly. “And I’ll have your back either way. If he needs someone to talk to if it feels rough... or to talk to him about not makin’ stupid mistakes? You tag me in. I just wish I could help out more with training and all that. I’m not as fighting fit as I used to be.”

It being the day it is and all, it’s worth noting that Cliff’s very demisexual. He’s definitely interfaced before, but only with a few people he’s gotten very close to.
