even  though  she’s  someone  who  is  practically  family  at  this  stage,  gerri  is  something  of  an  anomaly  to  her.    shiv  has  never  quite  known  where  she  stands  with  her  dear  old  godmother:  that  fact  might  worry  her  some  if  she  had  been  at  all  reliant  on  the  woman  for  much  growing  up.    fortunately,  she  had  learned  from  the  situation  with  her  own  mother  and  father  that  to  rely  on  anyone  in  life  was  not  a  very  smart  move.    even  still,  she  has  the  distinct  feeling  that  gerri  would  both  have  her  back  and  play  judas  at  a  moment’s  notice,  somehow  simultaneously,  if  that  were  at  all  possible.    the  more  she  thinks  about  it,  actually,  the  more  it  makes  sense  that  her  dad  has  kept  her  around  for  so  long.    nonetheless,  it’s  a  good  thing  shiv’s  never  been  much  of  an  idealist,  because  the  whole  idea  of  a  fairy  godmother  is  ...  well,  bibbidi  bobbidi  bullshit.

i know everyone loves to shit on connor (as they should) because he’s, u know, no exception to the rule that is “the roy family are cunts” but i absolutely. adore his relationship with shiv like they are absolutely more like uncle/niece than brother/sister because there’s easily a 20 year age gap but con calls her either a baby or baby at one stage, there’s no real conflict or tension or coldness when they interact unlike she and ken or she and rome, there’s also the fact that the first person connor calls when logan emails abt therapy AND abt the boardroom mutiny is shiv which ...... i love i do
