Arcee chuckled, bringing her hands back down to her sides. It was side, really- Arcee knew that Cliffjumper had changed. How couldn’t he have?

But he was still trying to act like everything was normal. 

And it wasn’t. 

“You know? A drive sounds pretty great right now.”

Not that he’d wanted to change. For the most part, he was as close to his old self as he could get. He was funny and loud, living larger than ever, but the changes were there. Unmistakable in his limp, in the gnarled gash across his abdomen.

But he still smiled, patting her back gently with one hand, that lazy grin remaining on his face.

“Then let’s go. We could both use the fresh air.”

Despite his cocky, lopsided grin, he knows full well why she’s jumpy. He had something of an intimate relationship with his own near death experience, after all, considering he’d lived it.

It was still upsetting, how much he’d scared her.
