Take Two || Darclan

Declan thought for a moment and nodded his head. “I mean, they have a culinary part of the school, but I’m not sure if they even do ones you know, just for the hell of it.” He said, smiling when he felt the squeeze to his hand. At the mention of turtles, Declan’s eyes brightened and he nodded. “I do, want to go see that first or last?”

“Well maybe a resturant around here does them? I’ll do some research. I love research.” He said with a giggle. When the other agreed with his love for turtles, his smile merely widened. “First! I mean, before they fall asleep it would be nice to get to touch them.”

“But just be warned, I can cook, and I’ve improved from way back when. But I’m still not the best so. You might have to guide me and such.” Declan said with a grin at Darcy. Turning his head, he looked around and smiled softly to himself, taking in their surroundings. “Are those off limits? I mean, since technically the place isn’t open yet?” Declan asked.

“Maybe we could take a cooking class together or something?” He suggested, squeezing his hand gently. When the other asked, he just giggled. “Nope, we have free reign of the place! I really wanna see the turtles if we can. Do you like turtles?”

Having to take care of two puppies, plus a food poisoned boyfriend and have homework to do still? Is this what it’s like to have kids and stuff? Because I don’t know if I can handle that yet.

If he vomits I think that’s exactly like what having kids will be like.

Darcy has always been the sweet boy. Ever since a young age nothing ever seemed to get him down. Born to two loving parents, their death didn’t even seem to cause the boy too much trauma. When his parents died in a car accident at age two, he simple went to live with his grandparents, understanding that his parents had been taken from him, but he was gifted with loving grandparents to take his place.

Nodding his head, Declan gently nudged the other lightly. “Take out is just as good, maybe we can save the actual cooking for a possible third date.” He said, because if he was being honest, he really liked Darcy’s personality. He definitely wasn’t the kind of guy Declan usually went for, but he welcomed the change in path. “What other kind of fish do they have here? I mean, I know it’s an aquarium, but like, some have reptiles too and bugs.”

“Oh well now that sounds like a perfect idea” He said with a grin, just thinking about getting to spend more time with the other. Looking around as they walked he looked to the other. “Oh they’ve got a mantaray petting tank, big turtles and small turtles, sharks, a bunch of really cool coral, lots of stuff.”

At the compliment, Declan laughed and shook his head a little. “I’m not sure about the utterly gorgeous part, but thank you love, it’s nice to hear once in awhile.” He grinned before he raised his eyebrows a little. “A little dinner? Darcy, I never knew you could cook.” Declan paused for a moment. “Or is it take out? Not that it matters, I mean, food is food so.” He laughed lightly before looking around again, nodding. “Sounds like a good idea.” Then looking back at Darcy and holding his arm out to him. “Shall we start our walk through then?”

“Oh well I’m hope I can make you sure of it eventually.” He said softly before giggling at the other. “it’s just take away for now, but I can actually cook. I do adore it actually.” He said as he took the other’s arm. “We shall! Oh I can’t wait till we get to the jelly fish. they look so cool in the dark.”

Hearing the tease, Declan laughed and shrugged a little bit. “Yes but it’s still a valid question.” He said with a grin as he gave the others hand a light squeeze. Once they were in, Declan’s eyes widened a bit as he looked around, the soft glow of blue surrounding them from the tanks of fish. “Holy crap good, I mean. This is amazing.” He said before looking back down at Darcy. “Definitely need to thank you friend for letting us have this place for a bit.”

“Well, I have to say I thought you were utterly gorgeous the first time I saw you, so I think I would have been to shy to ask you out if you weren’t a smidge of a weirdo.” He teased before giggling lightly. “I’m so glad. I’ve got a little dinner set up at the end of it for when we are done with ourr walk through.” He said before nodding. “I’ve already sent a thank you note, and I’ll probably bake some cookies if all goes well.”

At that, Declan chuckled and nodded his head. “You’re saying if I was a weirdo, you wouldn’t agree to this date?” He asked, teasing the other. When he was nudge, Declan laughed. “No, not sexy, if anything more so. Concerning and horror movie starter, you know? I mean. Not that you would. I hope.” He said, letting Darcy take the lead and stopped when he did. When he was told he could open his eyes, Declan blinked a bit before looking around and his jaw dropped a bit. “Holy crap.” He said softly

Sammy smiled at him waving away the others thought. “Oh you know I was the one who asked you, silly!” He teased before rubbing his hand soothingly. “Promise never to murder you.” He said before smiling nervously at the others reaction. “Holy crap good, or holy crap bad? I know you wanted something a little out there and this is the best I could come up with... is it okay?”

Shaking his head, Declan grinned and felt his face heat up just the slightest. “Trust love, I’m just as much of a weirdo as you are so you’re not alone in that.” He said. He was still looking around when he froze and did as he was told, holding one hand out. “Okay, middle of nowhere, closing eyes. Not sure this is going where I want it to.” Declan teased

“Good thing I’ve got a soft spot for weirdo’s then” He giggled, still poking the other in order to get him to comply. He took the hand happily before nudging the other. “Nothing sexy if that’s where your mind went you cheeky boy.” He teased before walking into a dark building. “Okay, open!” He said, standing in front of the other in a near dark aquarium. “Do you like it? I-I got a mate to let us have it private after hours. He said that the fish are the coolest in the dark with just the little lights on.”

Declan saw the shy smile when he pulled away and chuckled, nodding his head. “Is it really that hard to believe?” He asked, genuinely curious as he looked at the other. Hearing his answer, Declan pouted a bit. “Where is there?” He asked, finally taking a look at their surroundings

“Well, I don’t know. You are really gorgeous, and I’m just a bit of a weirdo.” He said with a little giggle. “There is...oh! There! Close your eyes!” He asked the other, stopping their walk until he saw the others hands cover their eyes.

Hearing Darcy’s answer, he was about to reply before he chuckled at his reaction. “I’m into you and you’re right, I said yes to this date so.” He said as he leaned over and pressed a kiss to the side of Darcy’s head. “Now, speaking of this date, do I get a clue as to where we’re going?”

“You...You are really into me? Really really? Oh gosh, wow now I’m all flustered.” He said, a shy smile plastered to his face. “A hint? Well...nope! We are almost there, don’t worry.” He said, smiling to the taller.

At the squeeze to his hand, Declan laughed lightly. “You’re not getting weird and emotional love, don’t worry about it. If I had thought you were doing that, I wouldn’t have agreed to go on this date now, would I?” He asked the other, tilting his head as he smiled.

“So...you are more into chill guys then?” He asked, biting his lip before shaking his head. “No, wait...you don’t have to answer that. You said yes to this date, and that’s all that matters, and we are going to have fun and see some cool stuff and have fun!”

Declan looked over at him and nodded. “Light waves in your eyes, never would have thought about that.” He said and chuckled softly and then blushed a little bit. “I don’t think it’s really passion, more so curiosity if anything.”

“Well it’s science you know.” He teased with a small giggle, giving his hand a squeeze. “Curiosity often turns into passion though, you know? Gosh--wow, sorry I’m getting all weird and emotional and weird...”

Looking back at Darcy, he nodded his head. “Yeah, like red. I mean, red is one of the colors that catch people’s eyes quickly, because its so vibrant and bright. The same would go for your orange, you know? I mean it’s that thing that makes you wonder, why? Why is it red? Why is it orange?” Declan said as he paused for a moment and laughed lightly. “Am I getting too much into this?”

“Well I don’t know the names, but I know it deals with light waves and the way your eye proccesses them...” He said with a little hum before giggling lightly at the other. “No, no! I love seeing you passionate about something.”

Laughing lightly, Declan nodded his head. “Very true, so it really isn’t a bad thing at all.” He said as he continued to walk when Darcy. Looking over at the other, he smiled to himself seeing Darcy looking down. He hoped he didn’t make the poor boy that nervous, he really didn’t want that to happen. At his question, Declan thought for a moment. “Well, I mean, I guess it would depend on you and what color catches your eye the most, which kind of makes you curious you could say. Like red.”

Darcy bit his lip, thinking over the others comment on his question. He squeezed his hand gently before looking back up to him. “Red? So...If I wore red, you think I’d catch your eye? I was always thinking intriegue would be orange since there are so many shades of it.”
