I would love to get back into MTG and play at events and stuff. I'm thinking if I only go draft, I can still have the fun of collecting cards, building decks, playing even if I might get destroyed, etc.

It's just, obviously the "good" Magic cards are going to be expensive. And you know the company's gonna nickel and dime you to death over everything, so I wonder, are there people out there who play Magic on a budget? any tips?
