Hey y'all!

So sorry again for vanishing. Life has been hectic and busy but i just wanted to let you all know that....i no longer work for Target!!

Hahaha i actually havent worked for Target since the end of July. I went from target straight into my new job like immediately so ive been busy with training and whatnot.

So for this blog. It means i have no more use for it! Since i no longer work at target and have a nice Corporate Desk Job now i really see no point in continuing this one.

I wont deactivate it but ill prob just stop posting completely.

Coming off hiatus to bitch about how i open ALL weekend (Fri-Mon) and its Memorial Say weekend so Target is gunna be HELL

Anybody else go through the weekly ad before they go into work, and get pissed of because you know EXACTLY what’s gonna give you problems all day?

I work the Guest Service counter so i def have to read the ad so i know which items and deals are going to give me the MOST prob w Guests

Like people cannot READ half the time so i have to be prepared to be like

"Sorry ma'am the sign and the weekly ad both say its $5 tank tops not $5 long sleeve v necks. No i understand they are next to each other but that doesnt change what the sign says"

WE. juSt StaRTed. Drive Up .At MY StoreE AND I HATE IT SO MUCH. ITS NOT LIKE I HAVE TONS OF OTHER SHIT TO WORRY ABOUT. NOW WE GOTTA TAKE SHIT TO PEOPLE'S CARS. fuck that

Im sooooo glad my store hasnt started it….yet. like we did a Major store remodel like….a year or so ago? And during it we got EVERYTHING set up for Drive Up, the parking spaces, the bags, the app, e v e r y t h i n g

But we never got it up and going? Something about our particular city never giving us a permit or something?? Idk

All i know is im glad its not up and going yet bc i KNOW they claim they would start scheduling ppl JUST for Drive Up so us GS ppl wont be doing it Alone, i doubt thatd happen and i already do the work of 5 people i dont need another job added to my work load thanks :)

There is no way to turn it off.

You go into the equipment room when a driveup notif happens and you’re deafened. If I never have to hear another car horn again I would die happy.

AND THE ETLS/LODS ARE GETTING UP IN OUR ASSES ABOUT IT ON WALKIE?? Like. Bro. We heard the notif. We got this. Don’t make us more stressed by asking if we are doing it. Jesus Christ.

Honestly they did give us more-ish hours for driveup tho. Particularly for weekends.

My condolences on the fact yall have to deal with Ship to Store tho, that fuckin sucks.

So the other day one of the GSTLs pulled me into the Office for A Talk

One of the things was my absences which like, i barely call out but i had The Flu for like two weeks and missed some shifts bc of that and since i only work 2 fucking shifts a week now, makes it seem like im Always Missing Shifts

And then the other thing is our Store Lead saw me from like, across the store, not 'smiling and engaging w the Guests' but like, i do?? I am a VERY dif person at GS.

I am smiley and always like "Hey there! How are ya? How can i help u today??? :)" but i have the worst Resting Bitch Face so he happened to loom over as i let my face relax and assumed i wasn't Doing My Job which is dumb af bc i work harder than anyone in the whole store tbh

Thankfully the GSTL that was Talking to me is Cool™ and KNOWS i go above and beyond to make sure my job is done

Alright so

Target has been Absolute Shit

They have cut everyone's hours down to bare minimum. I get MAYBE two shifts a week (about 15hrs a week) and boy howdy does that Suck

Also management cant make up their fucking minds about policies and whatever so rules are Always changing yet they never Tell You but also expect u to Just Know and THATS frustrating

And yeah im just Sick of It

I hate my old team leader. It’s bad enough that the team has been endlessly shit on by the my other boss but I’m not gonna take it from somebody who’s not working with us anymore.

My old TL, she has audacity come over to kids department yesterday and talk so much shit about us not picking up but literally we all just got back from our lunchbreak. The holiday season is upon us, every one is stressed. There’s no space to place ANYTHING. Everybody in the back room hit overtime so we don’t Even have people to unload.

I never talk back but yesterday was fed up and I Told her “since you wanna boss us around, why don’t you come back to softlines (clothes)” and she had responded in the most fucked way possible by saying “ if I were to come back nothing would change because you guys aren’t at your full potential. What happened to the old softlines that used to bang out everything. No y’all depend on hardlines (home/toys) to help you clean”

1) we have to do our own storage and own stock now

2) home has never helped us get our work done

3) she fucking knows how the area is so why is she acting like she doesn’t know anything We as a team already had to tell my big boss about my other boss and how she had treated us, now this happened. Everybody my team is quitting; and there will soon be only 5 people who work.

My boss was crying cause she is so stressed about the holiday season and hearing about the treatment of her workers when we are

(#2) the highest clothing group in the store going above all sales

The only good thing to come out of all of this bs is that I’m now an official trainer and electronics wants me to transfer to them instead of rotting my talent in clothes

I had a guest come OK to me the other day asking about the $30 c9 pants because everything was on sale and so I wanted to know what she meant by “pay less” I thought the woman found in the clearance rack but turns out she went up to the price scanner and pointed out “shop more, pay less” and my job dropped when she pointed out the Sign. I had to walk away and have my coworker help to the guest cause I’m amazed by how wild ppl. Can be

So, former Electronics Target employee here, and just wanted to give kind of a PSA on how shady Target is. They toss veteran employees aside as soon as new people get hired. I worked there for almost a year and by the end of it, only FOUR of the original people I worked with remained. They repeatedly made me work until 11pm, then had me come back in at 5am for ad set. Understaffed, incompetent leads, and a creepy obsession with "guest service" made that the worst place I have ever worked.

Yuhhh my Target has been growing increasingly Like That

So many veteran employees are gone bc theyve been almost strong armed out by new management and their new 'rules'

Plus we are ALWAYS understaffed esp for being The Busiest Store In Our Area (or even our county tbh) and theyve cut our hours to NOTHING (I get MAYBE 15hrs a week if im lucky)

And yet i just saw them hire like 10 new ppl???? 🤔

I have two short stories from when I worked at target.

The first: I was checking out this girl and couple of her friends. She paid me cash, said "keep the change, bitch," and left.

2nd: I was processing a return for this guy. He pulled the receipt out of his bag, gave it a once over, and handed it to me with full confidence. I looked this man in the eye and had to say "Sir, this is a McDonalds receipt."

So work changed my schedule without telling me and i was NOT supposed to work at all this weekend and then u get a text from my work friend who opened GS like "hey where are u? Ur my mid??"

So yeah i told him im not going bc its not MY fault they changed my schedule *shrugs*

Ive been at Target for 3+ years and ive NEVER no call, no showed sooo oh well

So im laying in bed, exhausted from work tonight and i gotta get up at 10am and head back in

But let me tell u. Tonight was sooooo obnoxious

It was super busy, i had FOUR FLATS FULL OF SALV/CRC HOLY SHIT

And service desk was soooo messy and gross

So i spent all day doing salv and cleaning SD AND doing ship to store

And it took me until 1230am

I was scheduled to leave at 11pm

Mostly bc of the amount of salv i had and also i had to go thru the boxes bc someone put a bunch of salv in the wrong boxes, and i had to gather up the vendor pickup, and there was two FULL shopping bags with unprocessed salv candy in it

And yeah it took FOREVER

Also the LOD was like "ye i know u had a lot to do and u cleaned up those boxes that were messed up and i appreciate u staying late but like u Guest Service team members really have to start zoning Dollar Spot and putting the strays away for it otherwise we are all gunna get in trouble bc ur not doing ur job"
