CATASTROPHE THEORY

Back in October, I fell off of Tumblr. It wasn’t intentional. I was spending the entirety of my weekends writing. One weekend, I just... forgot to post. I had my week of Tumblr posts all lined up, but forgot to actually put them on here.

This is not my return. My energies are focused elsewhere right now. But I wanted to share the project that I worked on for the entire 2020-2021 COVID school year.

We couldn’t make theater this year. So we made some television instead.

a set of methods used to study and classify the ways in which a system can undergo sudden large changes in behaviour as one or more of the variables that control it are changed continuously.

So think about the side of a mountain. One (or more things) change, and it becomes a landslide.

This TV show is about breaking points. And control. And gaslighting. And what we choose to give up for the greater good.

Originally, we planned to make this in the fall then maybe do more episodes in the spring. As it turns out, making TV is hard. Between our limited staff, limited time, and COVID safety protocols, it’s even harder. That said, we’re a school that produced over 100 minutes of (IMHO) quality television. We’re very proud of what we did.
