I’ve been waiting a while to finally draw some of my other characters. And I finally found the time so here they are. Meet my two sassy gay girls. Bouquet the Kirin with her Broom Brissel Bouquet is a Kirin from the old country and she’s witch. She has a french accent and is quite the grump. She moved from the old country to just outside the big city to start a potion business and though it’s not to booming Bouquet is just happy she gets to make cool potions all day. She lives with her pet who happens to be her broom Brissel. Up until recently when a sassy ghost girl took up residence in her home much to Bouquet’s dismay.Bouquet is often and very angry person and is often lost in making potions and caring for Brissel. She also neglects to sleep because of this which often contributes to her being in a constant cranky state. Phantasia the Sassy Ghost Phantasia was once a girl who came from a very wealthy family.. until her fiance murdered her in cold blood. Bouquet had awakened her accidentally from her eternal sleep and now she is the roommate and possible love interest of Bouquet. Phantasia is a bit of a ditz due to being very spoiled her whole life she is pretty out of touch when it comes to commoner problems. She is also quite the sassy girl quick to purposely annoy Bouquet just to see her get angry and always seems to have something to say. what the fuck is the deal w ken penders

ken penders was a really not great artist for the sonic comics, who introduced loads of brand new characters who would never be seen outside of them, including basically an entire race of space echidnas. some of those characters included a pink girl echidna literally named lara-su (whether it was done in reference to the mary sue trope or not I honestly dont know)

Ken tried to sue sega due to the evil badguys in sonic chronicles (yes, that sonic chronicles) being supposedly similar to his. The case was dropped, but that wasn’t the end.

Ken, rather than backing down, decided to go all-in and claimed copyright on all of his characters he created for the sonic comics. All of them, including ones in current story arcs. Archie tried to argue that due to his contract the characters were actually now the property of SEGA… only to be unable to find the actual contract he signed (ken probably swiped it on the way out). 

This meant that the publishers had to actually reboot the entire current plot because they could not legally use these characters anymore. Every single hanging plot thread had to be retconned, and theres years of comics that are now officially not canon because of it.

Ken, now having full right over his echidna OCs, changed them to be not echidnas but an alien race called ‘Echydnya’ (yeah), and he’s gonna give them their own visual novel series:

its uh.. yeah. and theres the foot fetish thing too, but honestly that feels almost like a minor point.

two vital details I feel like this misses: 1) “his characters” sort of undersells it. right now, I want you to imagine how many echidnas you think ken penders introduced into the Sonic Comics. okay, have that number in mind? scroll down

alright. that many (note: not literally all o those are ken penders OCs but most, most of them Are) 2) After he left Archie just kind of kept of truckin’ on and they later introduced a new, post-Pends era echidna, and they named him “Kneecaps.” get it, because knux’s name is knuckles haha? Well, ken penders apparently HATED the irreverence with which that name treated the character/The Noble Echidna Race and, feeling as though he still has a fucking stake in the comic after quitting, he told his fans that Kneecaps was just a nickname. do you know the character’s real name, according to ken? knecapeon mace
