I don’t always go on vacation, but when I do, I go to imaginary places from sci-fi novels and cool movies. Ever since the Orc menace has been destroyed, Gondor has been a regular tourist magnet. Except for all the dudes from Rohan on Spring Break. So weird.

FDNY station in lower Manhattan put up a pic of some guy who steals their newspaper. I asked the firefighters outside and they said he is too quick for them to stop. They think he is a homeless guy who wanders the area.

On a lighter note, this was drawn on the inside of a door of a restaurant being renovated in lower Manhattan. i took the photo as I was passing with a bunch of workers watching me. It says, "Whatsa matta wit' youse? Drawing and sh-t." They were making fun of a supervisor, I think. Funny.

There is a small colony of homeless-by-choice folks who live outside my building in lower Manhattan. I was going to bring them some food as it was very cold out and this is what I was greeted with. The sign says, "I'm in a Jew State of Mind." None of them were there. 

Just because someone is homeless does not mean that they are nice or deserving. It just means that they are homeless. 

And in this case, Jew haters.

My day in NYC Chinatown: Took picture and said, "I want this photo of Confuscious!" Soon informed by passerby that this is actually NOT Confuscious. It is actually a Chinese statesman who fought the British during the Opium Wars. That explains the "Seriously, dude?" looks I was getting.

Love the "Dr Toothy." Sounds like a Muppet. Like Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Buddha Bodai was awesome. Kosher vegan in Chinatown. Packed. Who knew?

Then I saw this marker for the oldest Jewish cemetery in the country.
