They are going to kidnap Danish Princess Aslaug. Lagertha will be interviewed as Aslaug’s new bodyguard, tomorrow morning. So she is wearing the holster and suits inside her faux coat.

Floki is more chill in this AU, but he doubts if Athelstan is from MI6 from time to time.

I feel like the whole Floki’s redemption line is basically saying no one can truly sacrifice theirs/the other’s better half. When Floki was trapped in the flaming tower at Paris, he questioned the gods like: I offered the top tier of sacrifice and killed my better half… I think Floki referred to him abandoned his moral code. He sacrificed his better half to get rid of Ragnar’s better half.

But the thing is, when Floki killed Athelstan, then there is nothing to stop Ragnar to be with Athelstan or Athelstan to be with Ragnar—as Athelstan is no longer trapped in the material world but became part of the universe. Athelstan understood Ragnar too well, he knew exactly why Ragnar listened to him instead of Floki, because Ragnar decided to do so, not chose to do so.

Also the long torture Floki had in Iceland, the part he eventually found the cross, it doesn’t read like Athelstan was behind those things. It was so Ragnar… Because Athelstan’s warning and anger has always been straightforward, from Uppsala to Ecbert.

So to think back when Athelstan told Ragnar to be mercy three times and the way Ragnar did it, one was to let Floki live, one was to give Alfred the cross and the last one was again, let Floki repent for the brutality of human nature…

How do you not call this a legendary love letter guys…

And the biggest problem for Floki is like, he wants to be a part of the community so much that he violates everything to show he is the essential part of the Norse culture. If we were really put him in a vacuumed space and drop someone like Athelstan at his doorstep I don’t think he will antagonize that individual so much.

Well in the show , it was confirmed by Ragnar himself he loved Athelstan more than Floki .

What george say in french in the beginning : "Hello , i forgot some words in french but i'm gonna try . Well The answer is Athelstan and i adored to be loved by a Australian man like Travis This is great no ? This is complicated because Athelstan should have died after two episodes but he changed a lot in season 1 and the love between Ragnar and Athelstan evolved also. Can i say that ? ^_^
