The winds of change were blowing during the era of Reformation, as the Anabaptism movement and the Protestant revolution stirred the hearts of many. The ex-communication of King Henry VIII and the birth of the Anglican church marked a significant turning point in history, shattering the scepter of the Catholic church and paving the way for new denominations and beliefs to emerge.

The Duncans of Scotland were no exception to the spread of the Gospel. Marian Duncan is in a wonderland by the sole decision of his family in the quest to sweep away the souls of the people of Gold Coast to the Anglican church.

She has embraced the land of the Fantes, a notable town in the then Gold Coast, now, Ghana as her home.
