So more curl embracing going on her on Debra’s hair. I touched up her “pigmentationaly challenged” hair and dried up with a diffuser to creat this beautiful look for her. She has never had her hair dried curly by a professional and was shocked at how pretty her hair could be curly. I shared some tips and tricks to keep the frizz out and used @ouidad hydrafusion intense curl creme for weight definition and a little help falling into a curl. For years we fought the humid south. And for years, we lost. The frizz won. No matter what I tried or how hard I worked, Lorraine’s hair would literally frizz up right before my eyes in the parking lot heading to the car. It never occurred to me that she would ever embrace her natural curl so, I never suggested it. One of the freedoms of being in lockdown is we’re all trying new things. New looks. Pinch hitting for a stylist friend, this beauty was feeling as “wooly” as a sheep after Covid and and her very pregnant stylist left her temporarily in the lurch.
