- I drew this piece for an incredibly huge collab project that brought several tens of MCR fans together, consisting in a series of covers of all the songs from The Black Parade in celebration of the iconic album 15th anniversary. Being chosen for the title artwork for “Famous Last Words” was the hugest honor I could dream of having, because this song is extremely dear to my heart. I remember Gerard describing this song saying it was “like Black Parade, but angrier” and I couldn’t find better words to describe it. I can’t listen to it without turning the volume up: this song makes me wanna cry all of my tears, destroy myself and everything around me and scream all of my rage, despair and frustration, all the the same time. I scream out all the negativity I have inside me and in that moment… in that precise moment I feel alive. “awake and unafraid / asleep or dear” 🖤🖤🖤 - A huge thank you to @/ourphantoms on Twitter for working so hard in organizing this collab and putting all the work from so many amazingly talented fans together! This collab has been an absolute blast!!! 🔥🔥🔥
