Lizzie   beamed,   delighted.   Losing   him   again   was   something   she   could   not   fathom.      For   a   long   time,   she   believed   that   no   one   would   ever   like   her,   that   she   wasn’t   good   enough   compared   to   Hope,   or   even   Josie.   ❝   I   want   you,   always.   ❞      She   buried   her   head   in   the   crook   of   his   neck,   slipping   her   hand   in   his.   It   was   strange   to   think   of   him   as   a   tribrid.   Someone   who   would   never   die,   never   grow   old.   ❝   I’m   really   happy   you’re   back.   The   school   wasn’t   the   same   without   you.   ❞   Everything   was   different   when   he   wasn’t   around.   Now   that   he   was   back,   Lizzie   was   finally   feeling   whole   again.

“The school is the school. And from what I’ve heard, you have been gettin’ attention.“ new friends or at least, the witches seem more willing to let her approach them. which was good, because he had always felt she needed to be more appreciated than what she had gotten.  A hand smooths down golden locks away from her face and looks down, a smile upon his lips. “And since I’m a full tribrid now, Im unkillable. So there’s that. I get to be here until you get bored of me.”

It’s all a game, and a game isn’t worth playing if you don’t enjoy it.” It is strange, and slightly disconcerting, to think that Kol is passing down his own moral ineptitude to someone who is, perhaps, even more powerful than he is. One is dangerous enough, but two? Most people don’t stand a chance. “Remember, no consequences, no worries.”

“Right. Well, we don’t have to worry about that, right?“ no emotions, no care, though he doesn’t feel he is sloppy without his emotions, there isn’t exactly a care about getting caught because well, his uncle is an original vampire and erik is a tribrid. they were basically at top of the food chain.  “So, how does this work? You say it’s a game so, do we play with our food?”

HE shook his head. “Try telling that to the others.” It was simple, no one else believed that Erik was fine, and the worry wasn’t easily assuaged. “Trauma might run in the family, but that doesn’t mean they don’t worry about you.” Klaus himself was a bit annoyed, but he knew a dark past. And his son was… different, from the way he was before. Klaus didn’t want to worry, but a part of him couldn’t help it; especially when he saw Hope’s concern for her brother. “Do not lie to me.” 

“If I’m lying, so what? our family worries way too much.“ Or sometimes, they don’t worry at all, but he bites his tongue. A part of him would always have a respect for his father’s authoritarian tone, emotions or not, it gets erik to shut up for a moment. “If I told you, then you will tell everyone else. I don’t want that.” Finally confesses, green eyes looking at his father, hands upon his pockets.

what does he think of handon?

He likes Landon, I think he recognizes that he and his sister have a deep relationship. Canon wise, he is on the fence, he didn’t really mind him putting their father on the musical because well, he does admire his father but he is aware that he wasn’t a good guy. He and Hope might have seen a more loving side to him but he is aware of all the things he did. 

Does he think Landon could handle things better? Yes. But he also understands Landons’ feelings of inadequacy when it comes to being normal or average. He has the same issue, and it’s not Hope’s fault but theirs to think that way. Landon was told that if he was not supernatural he would have to leave, and even as a supernatural, he is treated poorly by his peers because of his undeveloped powers. Erik feels the same as not being as good as his sister at magic, at being a wolf, at commanding power. 

It’s not after he comes back from the prison world that he evolves into more confident. So he likes them together, Landon makes Hope happy and in the end, that’s what matters to him, because she deserves happiness.

COMING BACK FELT OUT OF PLACE. odd, how spending months into a prison world had changed so much about him. from the way he was, to his very being. he hasn’t told a soul of those changes, though many felt them and just brushed them off as simple trauma and closing off. no one suspected that inside him, his biology had changed. a full tribrid now, vampire activated and his emotions closed off in order to survive and he hasn’t pushed that switch back on. He felt good, he felt better now, focusing on himself. 

But Hope insists on sparring. And he needs the training so he agrees, meeting her at the docks, the usual place for this sort of thing and nods when she gets to the place. Erik has become less approachable now, he is aware of it, less focused on Hope and more focused on what he wants, he is already making preparations to leave the school by the end of the month and never turn back. “I know this is more than just a sparring session. I can tell.” He points out, a shrug over his shoulders, green gaze settling back on his sister. “You are really good at lyin’ until you really aren’t, Hope. Why am I here?” @solarardency​ ​

“Of course.“ he repeats, a laugh through his tone as he does make it seem so easy. because it was, he had missed her, those early days when he was still only two thirds of what he was and his humanity missed her so much. “Forbidden, uh? well, if elizabeth salztman forbids it, I guess I’m going to stay here forever.“ and now that he was a tribrid, forever is all he has treally. and it’s an exciting prospect. hand moves to press circles into her back, absently thinking through. “I’ll stay as long as you want me, lizzie. so you are stuck with me too.”
