My second set of Star Wars Legends characters! Last time it was all Jedi, so I thought a good change of pace would be including nothing but antagonists this time. Also yeah, I was aiming for May the 4th, but I tend to be a bit too optimistic about how long things take to draw. 😅 Anyway, who from the old expanded universe should I draw next?

I cannot overstate how much I love asshole characters so hated by the writers the narration has been subtly roasting them for hundreds of pages, Nom Anor and Borsk Fey'lya wouldn't be my faves if the books weren't constantly pointing their papery finger and laughing

The universe is literally aiming a big cosmic arrow labelled "most hated bastard" right into their face, and yet, be it through sheer audacity, strength of character, or crippling lack of self-awareness, they just, keep going, like ever-present annoying gnats, it's almost inspiring

They hadn’t got time to have my boots made for me, which is usually the case, because of my large feet, so I had to do with a pair out of stock. Now there I was, on the first day of shooting, this very, very cross, unpleasant gentleman, Grand Moff Tarkin, stomping around, and it was agony, it really was.

So the next day I said to dear George Lucas, the director, I said, “George, I am not asking for close ups, but do you think you could shoot me from the waist upwards from now on?” And he said “Why,” and I explained the reasons, so he said “Oh, all right,” and he gave me a pair of carpet slippers.

So for the rest of the film I stomped around looking extremely angry, very cross, with that dear little Carrie Fisher, as Grand Moff Tarkin in carpet slippers!

The best part of the Darth Bane trilogy for me is actually when Bane gets bullied at Sith school for being a puny nerd, honestly love anytime we get to see an iteration of a darkside academy in Star Wars, utterly obsessed with the concept of evil wizard students in mall goth fits and clown makeup stealing each other's lunch money and starting lightsaber fights in detention
