Platonic!Yandere!Cyno x Child!Fem!Reader
Cyno couldn't help but feel sorry for you and hate your uncle. General Mahamatra took up this case expecting to see an ordinary thief from the Academiya, of which he had seen a huge number, but he didn't expect at all that this case would become one of the most vile ones he had encountered.
"Y/n, step aside, I don't want to hurt you."
"No! I won't let you kill him!"
But about everything in order.
It all started with the fact that someone began to steal materials from the Academiya, and each time the value of the stolen increased. Of course, he started looking for information about it. And the first important clue he stumbled upon was information about the child. It turns out that from time to time the guards noticed a very miniature child, whose gender differed according to the testimony of different people. Probably, if it wasn't for this very miniaturization that everyone is talking about, then Cyno would have decided that all these people are talking about different children, so he was glad that he didn't miss this detail.
He had to personally conduct his own investigation to find out that a girl used to live in one village with her family, she was also very small and skinny. However, there was a fire in that village, because of which neither the parents nor the girl survived, but the girl's father had a brother who, coincidentally, worked at the Academiya right now. Having learned this, Matra was in no hurry to make hasty conclusions, after all, it could be an ordinary coincidence, so he decided to interrogate the scholar and, as a last resort, conduct a search, but it turned out that no one had seen the suspect for at least two days. So, Cyno began a search of the scholar's house and it was after that that the whole shocking truth came out.
Your uncle hated your father and envied him a lot. He always tried to surpass his brother in the scientific field, but he never succeeded. One day he saw you easily climb into a small crevice in the mountains, and then he realized that you were the key to his success and wealth. And then after your parents died, he took you away. Of course, he didn't announce it to everyone officially, because he wanted you to steal the necessary information from the Academiya for him. Based on the records, you even lived far away from the city of Sumeru, so as not to arouse anyone's suspicions.
It would be an understatement to say that Cyno was furious. It seemed as if he had never searched for a traitor so quickly before. Driven by righteous anger, he quickly found both you and him. Without thinking at all, General Mahamatra immediately took a swing at your uncle. However, his caption immediately stopped when you covered the scholar with yourself.
"Y/n, you have no idea who you're standing up for."
You stood motionless, a fire of determination burning in your eyes, which he was very familiar with. You were blinded by this traitor, protecting him as if he deserved it. It was painful for Cyno to look at it, you don't deserve this. You deserve someone who will protect you, not use you. You deserve justice.
"I was the one who stole those materials from the Academiya, I..."
"I know. I've already made a verdict on your case. Now, step aside."
Sighing heavily, Matra retreated a little.
"Fine, I will return you to the Academiya, and I will decide what to do there."
That's how you started your journey. It was difficult for people who were not used to the desert to be here, but it was possible with water and rest breaks. And if everything was fine with interruptions, then you with your uncle were running out of water and Cyno knew it. For this reason, during the day he specially led both of you in circles, and at night, while your uncle was sleeping, he specially watered you.
You, as expected, did not sleep, you were too afraid that something might happen to your uncle while you were sleeping.
"You have to drink. The way is still long."
This time you just ignored him, so General Mahamatra got up without further ado and approached you. You were just sitting by the fire that Cyno lit.
"The last time you drank quietly when I offered you, why don't you want to now?"
"You give water only to me, while my uncle is suffering from dehydration..."
You saw how Cyno glanced at your uncle and lingered on him for a second.
"Let's make a deal then. If you drink water and sleep tonight, then tomorrow I will find the Eremites and arrange with them for help."
After your long journey it was a reasonable offer and you liked it. You're so tired of it all: wandering through the insanely hot desert in the morning and freezing cold at night; trying to save some water and walking at about the same pace after several sleepless nights under the scorching sun was terrible. In addition to all this, your uncle began to hallucinate, and he himself often began to lag behind you. Now you realize that the reason for your sober consciousness was General Mahamatra, who constantly watered you, and in moments of your particularly severe fatigue dragged you on his back.
You took a vessel of water from Cyno and took a couple of small sips. General Mahamatra's water, as usual, had a strange taste that you didn't know how to describe.
"You can drink a little more if you want."
"Alright, then lie down and rest."
After waiting until you lay down next to your uncle and fell asleep, Cyno came closer to the scholar and checked the pulse of the bastard, finally it stopped. And now he can safely take you to the Aaru village and write a thank-you letter to Tighnari. If it wasn't for those herbs diluted with water, then you probably would have died earlier than your uncle.
From now on, Cyno will do everything possible to protect and make your life the way it should be.
