been watching some of the old doctor who and I love that at the start, william hartnells doctor is just this chaotic mischievous old gremlin man who's on the verge of stoning anyone in his way. No moral compass just pure alien dude.

i keep saying, the doctor isn’t the show’s protagonist - they’re a supporting character who inherited the show when the protagonists left in 1965

That feeling when you aren't sure if the the strange old man is going to get you killed because he faked a problem with his ship to go off exploring on a radioactive planet and now you actually do need a part for the ship but there seems to be a war brewing
