I think that mr is some kind of extraterrestrial being. The attendents masks look like stars so that’s why.

I think that the mr that we see is the only part of mr that was able to get into reality and that is why the cult is there; to get the rest of mr into reality.

I think that mr is some kind of either eldritch god or other nearly omnipotent being

I think that if mr were to show more of its body it would look like avatar of emtieness from terraria wotg where it is a small fraction of itself poking out of a rift

mr knows enough to convince folly to join the cult so that’s why I think it’s some kind of eldritch abomination from outside of the universe or at least what we can understand in our universe

it is able to hide its speech from prying eyes and is connected to most if not all of the npcs

it can immediately kill almost all npcs if it wants to ( it disappears an npc if there is no room)

i don’t know all the lore but these are just my thoughts on mr
