JANELLE MONAE IS LIVING OUT ALL MY FANTASY SPACE MONK DREEEEEAMS!
natalie portman had the last name of every female director that wasn’t nominated embroidered into the cape that she’s wearing at the oscars...iconic
holy SHIT Ariana Grande looks incredible! Grey is such a beautiful color when you do it right, it really should be worn on the red carpet more often.
wooooow Beanie Feldman looks fucking gorgeous! love love love it!
Shailene Woodley actually has one of the more interesting dresses of the night.
This is officially the only good thing to come from the final season of Game of Thrones.
“The Hound says, ‘You want to be like me? You want to live your life like me?’. In my head, the answer was: ‘Yeah.’ But I guess sleeping with Gendry, seeing Jon again, realizing she’s not just fighting for herself anymore but also her family — it’s bringing up all these human emotions that Arya hasn’t felt for a long time.”

Jaime’s character arc wasn’t destroyed
Hear me out, fam. I’m a hardcore Braime shipper (the only ship I care about on the show, actually) and I initially hated the way Jaime’s arc ended.
But after watching the last episode some important things clicked.
- Jaime’s arc came full circle. At the beginning of his story, he killed his king and became known as the Kingslayer. At the end, he tried to save his queen’s life and in doing so became his Queen’s Protector.
- It was Brienne’s influence that made him a better person — and yes, that includes trying to save Cersei. He didn’t go back because he wanted to be with Cersei. His heart belongs to Brienne; “It’s yours, it will always be yours.” He went back to try to save his sister because, however toxic their relationship is, he still cares about her and not trying to help her would be selfish. He would hate himself for not doing it. Brienne’s influence on him means he no longer wants to hate himself like he did for so many years doing so many selfish things.
- When he leaves Brienne, she knows exactly what he’s doing. She’s heartbroken because she knows he’s going to do the honorable thing but risk his life in the process. She’s not upset because she thinks he suddenly doesn’t love her; she knows better than that. She’s upset because she knows he’s probably going to die.
- She doesn’t try to make him stay because that would be wrong, that would be selfish. Brienne is not selfish, and she’s the one who proved to Jaime that he isn’t, either.
- When Jaime finds Cersei, he doesn’t kiss her or anything, he just wants to help her escape.
- When he realizes escape is impossible and tells her “Nothing else matters,” he’s not rejecting Brienne or his character development. He’s turning Cersei’s selfish phrase on its head. Because this time, the only time, it’s true. In that moment, nothing else matters, because it’s their last moment.
- When Brienne completes Jaime’s entry in the White Book, she’s sad because she lost him. But she’s proud because he acted selflessly. He tried to do the right thing. He died with honor.
And now I’m crying (again).

There are a lot of things about S8 of GOT that I too did not love. HOWEVER, I think the petulant petition is fucking dumb. And the thing that annoys me about the petition bullshit the most is this completely asinine (also, fake) narrative that the people that put this thing together and/or signed it are somehow “supporting” the cast and crew by making their dissent public. But are you? Are you really? And more importantly, does the cast and crew you’re supposedly doing this for think so? Hmmm…step into my office and let’s find out:
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) thinks your “petition and things like that” are “disrespectful.” (NYT)
Jacob Anderson (Greyworm) thinks you’re “rude” and also wants to remind you that the show doesn’t belong to you. Also, he thinks your petition “trivializes” all the hard work that the cast and crew put into this last season and that you doing so is “sad.” (see appearance on Strahan and Sara)
Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark) thinks your petition is “ridiculous” and has kind of “taken it personally” so great job there, assholes. (The Hollywood Reporter)
Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) wants you to shut up. And he wasn’t even in season 8. (Twitter)
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) claims she’s never heard of your shitty band. (The New Yorker)
Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne) has resorted to making snide petition jokes via twitter and/or reblogged others that have done so. (Twitter)
And finally…Kit Harington (Jon Snow) “doesn’t give a fuck” what you think. In fact, he literally said you can “go fuck yourself.” (Esquire)
But yeah, you lot are totally right, this cast and crew is absolutely basking in the warmth and comfort of your support. 🙄
Twats.

people who can put in the effort to follow minor leagues like the whl or the qmjhl and college hockey but can’t seem to put any effort into following and supporting women’s hockey or even knowing any of their fucking names besides amanda or hilary are the worst kind of people
some of you clearly don’t understand what the fuck i mean. i don’t care that you like junior hockey that is not the problem!!! the problem is you not putting any kind of fucking effort into supporting women’s hockey!!!!! watch all the junior hockey you want i do not care about that!! what i care about is you not putting an effort into supporting what these women do. what i care about is that no matter how easily accessible their games are you would rather sit there and watch 16-20 year olds play than watch the best hockey players out there.
So, question.
Can you maybe just inform us where to start with the NWHL and women’s hockey?
There are a lot of people interested in learning and following it, but don’t really know where to start.
People were led in to juniors/college/men’s hockey in general and need to also be guided into professional women’s hockey?
hi! i hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but at the moment i don’t have the time, nor the patience, to explain everything with my own post & words. that being said i recommend reading bestkesselrun’s post that explains very well how to get into women’s hockey
“Hi. You should totally do this thing-and don’t say you have no time, cuz that’s a cop out-but I don’t have the time to help you do the thing.”
girl, same
Somehow playing videogames is one of the least sexy things a guy can do but one of the most sexy things a girl can do
