This is my heart rate during an hour-long meeting yesterday. I had slides prepared to present but figured we’d run out of time before it got to my topic. The spike to 100 bpm is when my manager said, “Ok let’s skip through some of these slides in the interest of time so we can get to other topics.” 😂 Then it dropped back down when I realized we would run out of time anyway.

1. Paul Pierce at the Burlington Mall a few months before the ‘08 championship.

2. Spike Lee at Flight Club in NYC in 2012.

3. Tim Gunn standing next to me on the subway in 2013.

4. John Cena by my old office in LES in NYC in 2014.

5. Seth Rogan outside my apartment building around the time he was filming The Night Before.

6. Jason Varitek at a hotel in Boston in 2015-ish.

7. Gabe Pruitt when he was a rookie on a flight from Boston to LA.

8. Swear to gods I saw Samuel L Jackson at a subway station on the UES and he looked mad/scary as heck, but I can’t prove it was him.

9. Santino Fontana who played the original Greg on Crazy Ex-girlfriend. He was sitting across the aisle from me on the subway in 2018.

10. Alysia Reiner who plays Fig on OITNB, on the subway and also in my neighborhood, in 2019

11. Jojo White running down the stairs in the Garden from the arena to the parking garage in 2007 or 2008.

But if you’d have asked me a couple years ago - before I tried to carry a paperback of Atlas Shrugged on the crowded subway for a week - I would’ve told you, “Proper bookmark” because I never would get into e-books. Now e-books give me life (matte e-ink screens only, duh.)
