Sigh. Ok I'm just back from my bf's graduation still in makeup with a toothbrush in my mouth but this is more important
I don't have specifically an idea on WHAT he'll do on stage, but I have theories about his underlying motives and possible bigger role in the story

Ok thankfully i already wrote all that down but it's really complicated and I might be delusional
I think the gentleman is very much used as a role model for gerard as to how they should be an entertainer
it's obvious they adore that show which is why they were given the puppet, and some of the things they said kinda reminded me of the gentleman, specificaly during his whole comedian speech, Gerard mentioned wearing a suit, which they obviously aren't, but the gentleman does
The gentleman background footage during blood can be seen as encouragement to commit the clerk's murder, which could be part of the reconditioning mandated by sylvia (important to mention that sylvia, unlike the dictator, the secretary, the clerks, everyone really except the newscaster and gentleman, isn't reconditonned either). Gerard, of course, does it
The newscaster is probably not met by the patients directly but he is the one scrambling their brains. He also gives speeches about "being a new person" and shit
The gentleman gives a speech about a figure sitting in a chair made of wood (who sits in a chair made of wood? the gentleman puppet) and it being "you". He has two versions of his speech, the second one ending with an aditional line: "lighting a match", which gerard does like the moment he does
Bro i keep calling the gentleman a moat employee but it would make more sense for him to be an m.c.r. employee
Anyway newscaster does appear during sleep but it's obvious he isn't being reconditioned. He is also nodding reassuringly/approvingly, plus the fact that he's the one doing brain surgery on the clerk, he is NOT great a newscaster
Sylvia also seems to be taking Mary-Ann's place, which fits into my theories of them taking control of influential roles
also kind of a stretch but
I've noticed everyone we heard talking (except the black parade ofc) has a draagoshkan accent, everyone except the gentleman

I've seen ppl joke about him being a cia agent or some shit, which obviously no, but we need to remember that draag had war tensions going on and just started a war
Look im gonna sound crazy but a group of people that includes the newscaster, the gentleman and maybe sylvia might be trying to overtake Draag's government by brainwashing people and putting them in positions of powers (the dictator, the secretary, etc)
gerard way doesnt seem like the type of people to give everyone a draagoshka accent for their little fictional country but then decide "hmmm yeah imma forget to give it to that one lore important guy"
Also, idk how it will connect into the lore, but can we mention the gentleman, or whoever was speaking to gerard through the puppet, knew a song (the dagger verse) written by mary-ann's father about rebellion and betrayal
I know i talked a lot about Sylvia and Newscaster while this was a Gentleman question, but I really think they do connect somehow
For the show itself, I'd really love a reversal of "puppet become puppeteer" (gentleman controlling the show + maybe big evil reveal) or Gerard finally meeting his role model and ending up just getting told every single thing he's doing wrong as a form of reconditioning
Originally I also thought we might get him just in the uniform and not the show look but after his appearance at Ghouls' Day Out, I think he'd be willing to go full look for a whole leg of the tour
He IS coming back, so many things point to it and Brandon ain't hiding it either, but he's coming back on the second American leg, aka the one starting on August 9th (EEK ALSO MY SHOW) so I got no idea what to expect for the uk but I'm excited and it will definitely either prove some of my theories right or make me go crazy
