I never did write out or properly post a proper pmmm verse for Lucas but honestly his main story would transpose pretty well into the pmmm universe. He could be from a rural town, lose Hinawa to a witch, and that's how Claus learns about witches so he wishes to avenge his mom but ends up becoming a witch himself, so Lucas wishes for the strength to protect his loved ones

A wish like that even makes it really easy to just give him PK Love in this verse since a wish to protect his loved ones could easily give him magic powered by love

It’s almost a little strange, hearing it coming from the lips of someone who isn’t the Third Child. But for as many times as the other pilots have heard Shinji Ikari utter the phrase, maybe Rei has taken a liking to it? Maybe it’s proven helpful to her, as well? It’s definitely something for Lucas to chew on later. He’s always had a bit of a propensity for reading other people, but Rei was a closed book kept under lock and key.

But never mind all of that. The important thing right now, in this moment, is to offer whatever comfort he can. Whether Rei’s words are an utterance of fear, apprehension, or simply a statement of fact — that she cannot abandon her duty as a pilot — it’s hard to say. But no matter what the case, it never hurt anyone to offer a hand to hold.
