You know i thought the emotion i experience i felt when tommy said "dream, put your armor in the hole" would never be experienced again, but i think i felt it when clingyduo got out of the prison and just were deliriously happy that he was dead

So glad it was c!Tubbo who killed c!Dream there.

If it was c!Tommy, that’d line up with the ideal c!Dream has built c!Tommy up as in his head. The fighter, an equal participant in their fucked up game, the only person willing to stand against him. c!Tommy taking all his lives would be proof of that, proof that he was right about c!Tommy and his only issue was not going far enough in his obsession. Plus, he’d have a new card to use against c!Tommy, a shared experience and trauma he could play off of, because he just loves finding the most vulnerable parts of c!Tommy and surgically ripping them apart.

But c!Tubbo? The boy turned man he saw as the opposite? The spineless coward, a generic plaything, a pawn? Now, that’s a challenge, a wound in his pride, that he cannot ignore. That’s clear proof his own idea of c!Tommy as the only useful piece is untrue, and his fixation caused him to miss a clever move by the ones he saw as lesser, useless. A pawn pushed to their breaking point may blossom into a Queen, after all.
