Hey! my name is George Mizen and this blog is about my life..... Let me tell you a little bit about myself, I am 17 years old and was born May 16th 1999 in London. I have Six brothers and two sisters as well as three nephews and one niece, we are a very close loving family. I had a pretty normal life until I was nearly nine when my brother Jimmy was murdered in an unprovoked attack in Lee, since then as a family we have been determined not to be beaten by this and that something good should come from it. In 2009 we set up The Jimmy Mizen Foundation now called For Jimmy and we work in schools all around the country promoting forgiveness, peace and hope and encouraging young people to go out and make a difference to create a safer more peaceful world. I work in the charity on a voluntary basis running the fundraising team and running our young citizens programme. I’m also studying performing arts at Lewisham Southwark college, my passion in life is to be an actor. Over the coming months you will get to know me a little more!
