It’s like I can see the sunshine all day long, smell the flowers, and be at peace in the moment. But something changes when the night creeps in.  The heaviness of what I’ve been running from  falls onto me like a thick blanket  and I feel like I can’t breathe again.  I wonder if I’m going mad- that surely, things can’t change so quickly. From good to bad to worse in the blink of an eye. But they must. And they do. Because when the darkness falls, so do I- back into the thoughts I tried to burn out with the sunshine I smiled at all day long.
