Anyway, this is immediately after Egypt and the yugang had a few nights travel. It was fine in the plane and boats but Yugi finally gets home and then it kinda of hits him once he’s in bed that this space him and Atem spent together (even as a kid Atem was the puzzle he kept tinkering at for so many years) is finally just HIM. No puzzle scattered on the desk waiting to be solved, not in a box, not around his neck.

And he’s grown so much as a person, that he’s not in anyone’s shadow anymore, acknowledging his friends and newfound courage but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still hurt
