i just got back from giving my presentation with my group on our semester-long project. one of my friends is also at this event for his class and he kept saying how he will come over, give me a hug and a kiss (!) to make my day better. then he walks by..gives me an awkward hello and shuffles away. now he texted me saying he definitely will after his presentation and i'm just like 'NOPE i'm napping'. i'm so mean but WUT. I DUN GET IT

Arrival || Rain & Darkstar

Rain looked over the edge of the ship railing to see land and her heart jumped to her throat in anticipation. She had been warned that bastards were not treated well in the Seven Kingdoms, but she was determined to find her way in life without being afraid of simply living. Her nails dug into the railing as she leaned over to try to get a better view of the land that she saw and took a few short breaths to steady her nerves.

This was it, she was going back to the place that she had been born after all these years. Maybe she would be able to find some answers.

She slung her small rucksack over her shoulder as they pulled into port, and she chewed on her lip nervously before she stepped on the gangplank and made her way along the docks, looking at how different this place was from Pentos. Despite the differences, the scenery made her smile.

Maybe she was finally home.

The sea breeze felt nice on his skin as he casually strolled across the bustling port. The weather had been all too warm, the sun relentlessly beaming down upon the lands of Dorne. He was thankful that he had made the decision to make a stop in Lemonwood before continuing his journey elsewhere. Some days in Dorne, it would get much too hot. He was thankful to be from the western parts but having spent the majority of his time near Sunspear, he was starting to grow tired of the constant dry heat.

Several strands of silvery hair flew into his face as the breeze picked up again. He reached up and brushed his hair back as his violet eyes watched the ships pulling in and out of the dock. Crew members were tossing barrel and bags of goods from the ships to the ports. There was a chorus of voices from every direction, many not of the common tongue. He enjoyed taking moments to himself and visiting the ports of Dorne. They were always so alive and he could lose himself around the bright colors, exotic fragrances and foreign tongues. 

As he reached near the end of the port, he noticed a large Pentoshi ship having just docked. The ship's crew and travelers were descending from the ship onto the dock, some Pentoshi, some Westerosi, and various other natives of Essos. Curiosity took over him so he wandered near the ship, his eyes carefully observing each traveler that walked off of the gangplank. He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against several stacked barrels that had just come off the ship. An amused grin appeared on his face as he caught sight of a petite dark-haired girl. Her vibrant smile reached her eyes and made her face light up in a way that made it hard for him to take his eyes off of her. 

"First time in Westeros?" he called out to her, raising an eyebrow inquiringly.
