Hi there! I'm Gert, and I'm an amateur writer/artist who loves storytelling. Currently, I'm working on a visual novel about a boy trying to capture a demon at his high school's homecoming dance.
Alongside development info about that (under the tag #demonvn) this account is mostly full of doodles related to my OCs or whatever random thing happens to catch my interest at any point in time. All posts that don't have art are tagged as #notart, if you want to filter that out.

What do you use to draw?
Currently I've been using paint.net, but in the past I've used firealpaca and Photoshop.

I can properly answer this once the game is out! I do not want to tell people something, only for me to realize that it's breaking my entire game...
When is the game coming out? How long will it be? What platform will it be on?
No release date yet, pretty short, and it will release on itch.io! Current plans are for it to cost money upon release. I have student loans to pay off, after all!
What is a gertling?
An abstracted version of myself without arms. Thoughtless, they travel in packs and operate on the rule of funny. They are hypercarnivores and can only say the word "gert."

The only thing differentiating them is that Vriska does divisive things in the actual plot of the story, whereas Jax mostly has panic attacks and then implodes. For Jax to REALLY be Vriska, she should have done something awful to completely alter the course of the story, which never really happens. But, who can truly come close to the power a Vriska, except for Vriska herself?
Thank you! I've been unsuccessfully trying to step back from social media for my own sanity, but it's been nice to have actual art to post. If you are ever worried I have died, you can usually see me posting bullhonkey on my main account or on bluesky -- I've been trying to keep this one mostly art-focused, but I generally post whatever on those. Bluesky also has all the art that's on here, though... And sometimes other miscellaneous stuff.

the last one was apart of this test comic, but i could not for the life of me remember what i was going to put in the speech bubbles, so i just posted the last image.
I changed my banner for bluesky to celebrate pride month, but there is simply no need on tumblr. We already have the full spectrum of lgbt identities on it.

in that second picture your girl looks so much like this little autistic kid my dad works with. totally different personality, she would not be making that face, but seriously you got the likeness down. did she appear to you in a dream perhaps
Other people have said similar things! I was mostly working off of random google image references + personal memories to figure out what she should look like. I was doing some other character drawings in the same "realistic-ish" vein, so I also wanted her to have a semi-plausible appearance.
This is obviously just a fun joke, but I've always thought that positioning other groups -- in this case, aliens -- as inherently better or worse than us robs them of complexity. One must assume that they're capable of great kindness and cruelty, just as human beings are. I don't disagree with depictions of a utopic Erid, as it fits the mood of the film + ending, but it's also quite fun to consider that they get there and Grace, lucid for the first time in weeks, looks around and goes "So Rocky I see you failed to inform me of the various intricacies and dark aspects of Eridian society in favor of 'owning humanity'" and Rocky, scared because society changed while he was gone and now he has to figure out what a rock qr code is, goes "Grace fuck off"
He's been gone around 70-80 years! We don't really know about how fast things change for Eridians, given their long lifespans + the astrophage crisis, but it's fun to consider that Rocky's a fish out of water for reasons other than the obvious.

It's awesome how deleting a post means that, years later, you will sometimes get flashbanged by seeing it out in the wild. And people will STILL be arguing in the notes
