If you take it apart, then literally it will be:

"да" - yes

"нет" - no

"наверное" - probably

"Yes no probably "

Yes, now it sounds like a person is just listing parts of speech unrelated to each other.

But in fact, this phrase means "not an unequivocal refusal," that is, a person cannot say for sure, so he uses "probably not."

Then what does "yes" have to do with it? It doesn't really have anything to do with it. In some words, "yes" works like a particle, if you remove it from the sentence, nothing will change.

It's just that "yes" works like the salt in the word and slightly enhances the effect of what is said. And also they are very convenient to use together.

For this reason, "да нет наверное" is just "probably not"
