"I said sit down." her words were accompanied by her palm pressing flat against his chest and shoving not so gently, but thanks to the 80lbs he had on her he didn't even budge. "...please."
He'd been glaring over her shoulder at the wall but at her use of please his gaze snapped down to her face and he let out an agitated sigh before lowering himself onto the toilet seat. "Thank you."
Turning away from him she snagged the hand towel off the rack before twisting the handle for warm water and letting it run for a few. The silence stretched out between them and she fidgeted slightly. She wasn't mad, not at him at least. Mad they fought? Sure. Mad date night ended up with paying bail for people? Definitely. But not at him. She was however peeved with Joey Ryan and his button pushing.
Letting the water run over the hand towel for a moment she turned back to face him and used the damp cloth to scrub lightly at his face, wiping away the dried blood that streaked across his cheek and under his nose. Gripping his chin lightly in her free hand she twisted his head this way and that as needed. When the towel slid over his cheek she watched him flinch but he stayed mute.
Leaning down she pressed a light kiss where she'd just cleaned before running another corner of the towel under the warm water and continued on. They remained in silence until she'd finally finished and then turned away from him to shut the water off and set the towel aside.
Turning around again she leaned back against the counter and folded her arms across hr chest. "Sorry for what?"
"Fighting, date night. I'm not sorry I hit him though. In either location." He sounded like he was sulking and it /almost/ made her smile at him.
"I'm more mad at him than you over the fight happening. He pushed and you reacted. Do I wish it hadn't happened? Of course, but I wasn't surprised and I'm not gonna hold it against you."
"You've been surprisingly silent over it."
"I knew you were gonna throw a punch the second he put his arm around me, I'm lucky you boys didn't get blood on me too" Pushing off the counter she stepped towards him letting her hands slide into his hair to tug at it gently. "I did wanna see that movie though, so you owe me."
His lip twitched into a ghost of a smile before the corners fell and a serious look took over his features. "You're not hurt are you?"
"Not even a scratch. You're gonna have a black eye though, probably a bruise on your jaw as well." As she mentioned it her left hand slipped from his hair to touch gently at his cheek bone again before frowning when he flinche again. "Poor Cuteness."
Dustin hadn't looked to great either but she kept that to herself. "And that's the important part obviously."
"Mhm" His hands had settled on her hips and he nudged her back a step before standing himself and pulled her out of the bathroom. "As fun as you being a nurse is, I'm exhausted, and I'd like to sleep."
"Okay, just et me get you an ice pack for your face first." she’ already started to pull away from him only for him to tug her gently back towards him with a hand around her wrist.
"It's not the first time I've taken a punch Alexis, I don't need an ice pack."
"What a guy thing to say."
Instead of responding he grabbed her by the hips again and twisted her back towards the bedroom before gently nudging her through the door. “Sleep now, mock later.”
"Fiiiine., but maybe get in less fights okay?”
There was silence for a moment and then finally. “I’ll try.”
“That’s all I need cuteness.”
