We share this planet with a lot of life and a lot of people don't know that upwards of 80 elephants are killed a day for their ivory tusks and the last thousand of rhinos are standing and fighting from being slaughtered for their horn. The ivory and rhino horn are worth 70000$ a kilo that's almost 40 grand for a pound of keratin the same stuff that our fingernails are made of. This horn is worth more globally than any other item on the black market and the demand has not ceased. We only pray that people will gain some sense before the last elephant and the last rhino fall. I pray for the day when majority of people see the value of life is much bigger than the human experience that we are trapped within. This is a picture of Siri, she is an older lady living at the Rosamond Gifford zoo. She has spent her life there since she was taken in as an orphan. Siri is a symbol of what life is capable of with or without our contribution of only we give it a chance to grow. #earthday
