“No. Of course not.” Max retorted, a little annoyed that the male would think he’d do such an awful thing. “It was actually the waitress that dropped it on the floor but still placed it in your bag. So I’m just trying to put your best interests first. In fact, why don’t I get you something else completely. Your choice. No one deserves that sort of service.” He would take it out of his paycheck. And certainly report that one waitress. Despicable service is something Max couldn’t stand.
Liam raised the bag he was holding onto it and simply stared before shrugging. “I’ve eaten worse.” He rolled his eyes before dumping the bag in the trashcan beside him before shoving his hands into his pockets. No way in hell Liam was about to deny something better and free of charge, even if he had just wasted his own money. “What’s the catch? You don’t know me so...why?” Liam was still cynical by nature so he had to question the act of kindness.
