this is a handy little blog where ggg fans can share any of their headcanons related to ggg, whether it be about the characters, story, worldbuilding or something else!

just send an ask including a headcanon of yours, anonymous or not, and I'll answer it so it can be shared!

my only request is for no inappropriate/nsfw headcanons to be submitted as the mod is a minor. aside from that, feel free to submit hcs to your heart's content!

Godpoke is in good shape. Think about it. They walked the entire Grove in presumably a day. That's an entire island. The bizzyboys have a van to get around in but they ain't giving Pokey a lift.

drainfolk have paw pads on the bottoms of their feet, while inspekta has them on his hands

this is because his god form was intended to stand on all fours, and hes built to move around like a chinese dragon of sorts ... he just chooses not to do so, and stands upright instead

drainfolk look the way they do because of magical pollution in the floodwater causing genetic mutations such as tails, blue fur, etc. they are still biologically human of course but they have evolved to adapt to their surroundings. they also tend to be born with shorter, chunkier builds - the extra fat allows them to stay warm in constant wet conditions.

gods tend to look less human as they age. it's not linear, though. king looks so much like herself because she just ascended. for this reason, the younger gods (like thespius, click clack, cobigail, and inspekta) look more humanoid while bauhauzzo and huzzle mug do. not. mitternacht and thespius age really slowly, for some reason.

Post game Heck often doesn't know what to do with his body but he moves his hands around a lot and pats people and pokes people and gestures wildly and fidgets with them cause he's so used to having lots of hands and 2 doesn't feel like enough he needs to be doing all this stuff with them why are there only 2?

the Grove used to be inaccessible to earth and the drain but years of slowly opening up and communication with the gods bettering allowed for more people to be able to visit. it's still seen as a rare occurence though.

I like to think that the Grove experiences polar nights/ 24 hour nighttimes in the winter and polar days/ 24 hour daytimes in the summer. Like the north pole (and other places close to the poles) has.

(I think this comes from Yugo describing the Grove as being on the top of the world one time? Don’t quote me on that, though. My memory is kinda bad in that department.)

"So i hold your hand like thiz, and i trace my fingers like thiz."

"Aren't you supposed to trace the lines?"

"Oh, uh, yeah, yeah. So, thiz your love lime. You're gunna meet all the nerdy, autis- artistic girls you can handle."

"Huh. You don't say?"

"Yeah, yeah, and thiz your live line. You're gunna live ta be... old."

The closer (relationship wise) a person is to a god, the longer their life span is.

Gods have a tendency to subconsciously expand the life spans of their loved ones, allowing them to live longer than the usual Grovian life span (which is already significantly increased compared to Earth)

This is how people like Ol' Bloom got to be so old. While his life was already increased by living on the Grove, his connection to Cobigail multiplied that even more, meaning he still likely has many many more years ahead of him.

This could also be a reason as to why Click Clack was able to ascend despite probably already being very old by the time he was chosen (if we go off of what was said in game; that being that two gods ascending one after the other isn't something that's happened before (iirc)), his connection to Thespius (and again, living on the Grove), extended his life span, allowing him to ascend despite likely being over 100 years old

The same logic would likely also apply to characters like Razzma, and maybe even Godpoke. Razzma's life span being extended via his connection to King, and Godpoke with their connection with the entire pantheon (tho King and Missy, in my eyes at least, are likely the main culprits when it comes to them living longer)
