✨ TONY STARK !!
( ´・・)ノ(._.`) – tony
“oof, that’s gotta hurt,” tony said, wincing as he saw carol smack into the ground. “good thing you’re like, god tier strong. “are you alright?”
shaking his head, he shot her a tired smile, one that had seen too many miles of wandering. “could have told you that. or if it is a planet, we’re stuck in a containment field of some sort. i’m actually pretty bummed to see that even you couldn’t break it – here i was hoping that someone would be able to find a handy escape hatch somewhere.”
wandering closer, he gestured at her nose. “you’re bleeding blue. is that normal for you?”
“damn.” carol made a face as she lifted herself off the ground, ignoring the aches in her body that would soon dissipate. “i was hoping you didn’t see the whole thing. i bet it didn’t even look cool. just sad.” she gave him an unenthused laugh as she reached her arms above her to stretch her back, feeling relief all down her spine. "not a containment field, then. but something’s keeping us in. there’s no atmosphere, no... space. it’s just... empty out there.” she pointed up. “like there’s nothing beyond this space we’re in.” there was a time when most humans thought that was true – sure, there were stars and planets, but life? intelligent life as expansive as the reality? that had been a fever dream. but how do you reconcile something like this – something impossible – when you were from a world where nothing was impossible?
she smiled when she asked about her blood, wiping her nose on the back of her hand. “sure is,” she said. “it was a kree thing. couldn’t have me thinking i was anything other than one of them, obviously. let’s call it extreme societal integration.” it bothered her sometimes to know that the blood flowing through her veins in some way connected her to yon-rogg and always would – but she didn’t allow herself to think long on the matter. yon-rogg was gone. “i don’t understand much about blood transfusions but i always kind of thought i’d bleed red again one of these days.”
