House Oskar by Jan Žaloudek Architekt
Some places don’t demand your attention—they quietly earn it. Not through grandeur or spectacle, but through a gentle invitation into their world. House Oskar is one of those rare places. It doesn’t speak loudly; it resonates softly, with intention, care, and authenticity.
Nestled in the tranquil village of Kamenná Lhota in South Bohemia, House Oskar transcends the idea of a home. It’s a deeply thoughtful architectural expression by Jan Žaloudek Architekt—an intimate project shaped by family ties, artistic vision, and a profound respect for nature and history. The site itself tells its own story: a once-grand garden belonging to a baroque château, aged trees standing like silent witnesses, the faded footprint of a barn, and a stone wall etched with memory. This wasn’t just a place to build—it was a place to listen. Žaloudek did just that. And in response, he created something enduring, present, and deeply rooted in its surroundings.
