Was this the beginning of a friendship? This person wasn’t saying no! Happy couldn’t believe it! Everyone else had just ignored them and walked away because they were too caught up in their own world to give them the time of day. “It’s a pride event! You just gotta be proud of who you are and really soak up the best outcomes of life. Don’t worry, there’s gonna be so much color and food that you won’t know what you want to do or eat!” Happy was growing estastic with every word falling out of their mouth. 

Yikes. Was this person expecting Roy to eat while he was there? “Well, I actually ate already... So I’m not all that hungry. But.. Uh... I guess I could go.” He offered another small smile, though he was unsure if he should really be socializing. It seemed dangerous, especially if people found out he was a ghost. However, he really wanted to enjoy this new chance he’d been given.

Thea caught herself staring with a little more than resting bitch face. She offered a smile to the other. “Oh yes, there are plenty of people here. All of them so colorful.” She really hoped that this man wasn’t wearing every color of the rainbow. “Everyone just blends in.”

He looked around at everyone and their strange, vibrant clothes, and looked back down to his own. They were more modern than he was used to, wearing jeans and a shirt. He had the legs rolled up a bit to make himself feel more comfortable, a long with some longer socks and brown shoes. Overall, he felt quite out of place. “Well, I guess I should make myself stand out a bit more.” He smiled a little awkwardly.

Nym was on a mission– well sort of. He was trying to figure out what else he could move and how else he could make others go crazy. He definitely was not in the right state of mind, but he couldn’t care less. This is what he liked to do. Since his concentration was broken by the voice, he was feeling awfully annoyed. “The only thing I eat is stale bread.”

“Then perhaps a hamburger will do you well.” He looked to the food, not wanting to waste it. When he was alive, this would have been a treat. Not to mention it was expensive. The spirit sighed.

Roy sat down at a small table, concentrating on keeping himself corporeal as he stared at a plate of food. He wondered if he could even eat. The burger and fries sat in front of him tauntingly, and he had paid out the ear for them. Five dollars seemed to be the minimum anymore, and he couldn’t help but wonder whether or not this was a city for the wealthy. He sighed and attempted to pick up a fry and eat it. He could feel the heat, but he didn’t actually mind. It... was comforting. Still, as he swallowed, the fry passed through him in a strange way. It definitely didn’t feel like he remembered, and it wasn’t exactly pleasant. The young man sighed, turning to look as someone passed by. “Hey! Sorry to bother, but... Would you want this hamburger? I... can’t eat it.”

Thea gasped whenever she hit something she hadn’t quite seen. She jumped back smoothing her clothes out. For the first time since Mickey’s death, she saw a person without a ring of color around them. She took a closer look, and yes… it was a living, breathing human. “Sorry.. I didn’t see you.” The brunette furrowed her brow and shook her head. Still no aura around the person, which confused her.

He shook his head. “Don’t worry. There... are a lot of people here... I’m sure things just got a little mixed up. That’s all...” Roy offered a small but awkward smile. What did his manners need to be like in this time period? He hadn’t a clue.

Kit was bored one day, so he decided to go to one of his favorite places, the arcade. Once he ran out of quarters for games, he became bored again and didn’t know what to, so he decided to put his powers to good use. He thought to himself Why am I paying for games when I can go inside of them? 

He spent about an hour and a half walking around inside the arcade games when he decided that he should probably come out. Kit did not realize that someone was currently playing the game that he tried to exit out of, and when he emerged from the game, he ran into the player and startled them.

Roy was wandering around the arcade with wonder in his eyes, finding himself drawn to the strange machines. He couldn’t help but be curious. What did these machines do? They seemed to be recreational. However, at the price of 50-75 cents per play, Roy was hesitant to even mess with the things. Did they think people were just made of money? Still, he could watch their bright flashing screens as they advertised... whatever they were advertising. He was pretty invested in one that seemed to be about dinosaurs when someone... stepped out of it? Roy jumped back, startled. He stared at the other for a few moments before something occurred to him. “Are... What... Are you.... a ghost?” His voice was clearly cautious.

Thea was always a little nervous about going to Pride. She was always afraid she’d end up on some video or something and it would get back to her parents. It wasn’t that she thought they wouldn’t be alright with her being a lesbian, but she just didn’t know how to tell them. She decided this year she was going to go. She had a beautiful girlfriend, and she was ready to show the world. She dressed up in so many pinks and purples it wasn’t even funny. She was so grateful for Maci helping her pick out the colors and for dying her hair the rose color. As soon as she arrived, she stopped at the first booth. It took her a little bit of searching, and the help of the kind man running the booth, but she finally found the lesbian flag. She wrapped it around her shoulders like a cape, rushing out of the booth, not realizing she was about to run into someone until it was too late.

Roy was busy exploring the festivities being held, not really too sure what was being celebrated. What sort of Pride were people celebrating? There were all sorts of different colored flags, some of which people had on their clothing or painted on their faces. Some held them high or wore them across their back, much like the young lady that nearly ran into him. Roy held out his hands, stopping her from completely bumping into him. His skin was cold, and he knew this, so he quickly pulled them away, trying to keep suspicion low. “Hey, careful.” He said calmly.

“Hey, you! Wanna go to the park? I hear there’s art stuff going on. I don’t know what that means, but I can guarantee that it’s going to be fun because art is always fun! Every art-related thing I’ve been to has been fun and entertaining. I’ll pay if you need a ticket. I think I have five dollars in change. Let’s hope that’s all we need!” Happy was in hyperdrive. They loved celebrating everyone’s differences and thought that this was a perfect opportunity to get to know more people. So, they stood there, pointing to the random person, hoping they would take the chance to go with them to the park.

To say that everything in this city was shocking would be putting it lightly. Roy was in awe at just about everything, and, ironically, he actually felt well enough to do things. Being a spirit, he was definitely enjoying the freedom he never had in the past. He was a bit shocked when someone came up to him and began to talk. Roy looked to the other, blinking for a moment. Five dollars? He just... Had five dollars in change that he was willing to offer him? Was he rich? “What sort of event is it?” The young man asked curiously.
