arguably the best track in Ghost Trick is the one titled "Trauma" and it gets everyone so hyped up the second it plays but out of context it makes Twitch chat look like a bunch of sadistic fucks

big fan of when game fans (and it usually is a game) smash the words of the title together, in a portmanteau that's as absurd as it is almost intuitively understood to evoke the mouthfeel of something profane. silksong fans calling it "skong." or much less topically, but topical in my heart, ghost trick fans calling it "grick." crucially, "skonging it" and "gricking it" both instantly sound like euphemisms you would've known since you were a teen, with those hard 'g' and 'k' sounds helping paint such a vivid mouth-picture regardless of where they fall in the individual word. and for that reason, as i keep gricking my shit i wish the best to everyone skonging it, and to all the other beautiful portmanteaus out there in the world too

Hi everyone

IT'S A HOLIDAYS MIRACLE EVERYONE! GAMEQUOTESHOWDOWN IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER.

The last few times I have tried to revive this blog i've gotten burnt out and eventually dropped it again so you may be wondering what's different this time? How do we know you won't just drop it again? You see, while I was on my break I searched the far lands of the internet, searching for that thing that would keep me motivated and I found it, the simple two steps to ensure that this tournament continues...

So first I would like to introduce the newest mod and my friend @thatoneluckybee who will be helping me out with tournament organizing!!! She will be helping me behind the scenes to queue posts, select quotes, all the boring stuff that makes the tournament possible so be sure to give Mod Bee a big welcome to the team because I literally can't do it without her.

And second I have realized that while I love running the specialized categories for the tournament, it is far more work than running an open quote tournament and prolly isn't the best for trying to get back into the groove of running this blog so I have decided to run an open season for my first time back. I do plan to revive the villain tournament, do not worry, but I think I just need to ease into it.

WITH THAT SAID THE FORM FOR SUBMISSIONS WILL BE RELEASING ON SATURDAY 8 AM EST SO GET YOUR QUOTES READY AND LETS DO THIS!

Ghost Trick is so funny because it's one of those games where people keep telling you to play it and after a while you start getting curious so you go "whatever" and try it

Then you're playing it and the thing happens which leads to the thing and ultimately gets you to THE thing and then you finish it and are like "I have to tell people"

So you go on social media to post about how this was a downright mindblowing experience but are like "Oh no what do I say to not reveale too much?"

You then type "Play Ghost Trick" and hit post like some sort of drone and you are 100% right to do so
