We are deeply saddened to hear that Michael C. Gross, the man who created the no-ghost logo, has passed away. Michael also had a creative hand in films like Heavy Metal, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, and countless others. He also served as art director for such diverse publications as Esquire, EYE magazine, Family Health, NY Scenes, and National Lampoon. On a personal note, I had the pleasure of interviewing Michael a few years ago. The file that was uploaded ran just shy of an hour, the actual call lasted nearly two. We chatted about each others childhood, family, and even had a few laughs after we had to restart the interview for a third time due to technical difficulties. Michael, you'll be missed greatly.
