At the age of 16, his mother had abandoned his family and his father started drinking, leaving him and his twin sister, Whitney, to take care of their now alcoholic father and three younger siblings. When Wes and Whitney hit 18, their older brother, Kalen, left college to take care of their younger siblings and father so the twins could go to college themselves. They applied to many colleges around their location and were accepted into a few. They came to the decision to enter the same college and, after going back and forth about which college they would want to attend, they came to an agreement; the University of Chicago. They decided to live on Campus, both to make more room in their father's house and to have a space to themselves. With Wesley majoring in Cinema and Media Studies and Whitney majoring in Psychology, they stayed in the University of Chicago for the entire 4 years and both graduated before they moved back into their father’s home and continued raising their younger siblings, now with the help of Kalen as he stayed with his family.
Personality:
Wesley comes off as being sarcastic, cynical, pessimistic, and sometimes lazy. He is extremely intelligent but will sometimes find physical activity laughable and, despite his weak body structure, isn't afraid to insult those who are clearly physically superior than he is. He has no qualms in making sarcastic remarks at others expense, which can often have him come off as rude. His misanthropic attitude has a tendency to repel friendships but he can find compassion in others at times. Wesley loves the dramatic as much as he himself is dramatic, generally talking in a grandiose manner about himself and events, and prone to being extravagant with his plans. While Wesley perceives himself as being emotionless, in reality, he is quite passionate such as being easily irritated, especially when others don’t listen and/or appreciate his intelligence.

It's that time of the month! With the release of Act 2 for Season 2 comes the idea for new OCs and new folks to torture with angst and lore.
I'm still working on their story and such but I do have a general idea as to what I want to do with them and I wanted to share it with you all!
Will I change up this backstory? Maybe I will, maybe I won't. If I do, I will definitely write something new for them or change whatever I need to.
Without further ado, I hope you all enjoy this small introduction to my Arcane OC.

[ Piltover Bridge ]
Red. That’s all I could see. Dead bodies were spread out all over the floor, most were from Zaun than from Piltover, my home, and smoke clogged my vision to the point where I could barely see what was in front of me, which forced me to take off my helmet. It was pure chaos and for what? What could the Enforcers gain from attacking the people from Zaun? What could Zaun have gained from rushing at the enforcers and trying to fight back? It was idiotic. Purely idotic and I couldn’t have been the only one who saw it that way.
This battle was pointless and neither side could have gained anything from it but a visit to death’s doorstep, which is why I didn’t attack any of the people from Zaun and tried stopping my fellow enforcers from doing the same. I kept walking along the bridge, hoping to find some more signs of life. I don’t care if they were from Zaun or from Piltover. There’s no need to shed anymore blood today.
Everyso often, I would look back to the two children walking behind me to make sure they were still with me. I found them hiding behind some rubble on the bridge and offered for them to follow me so I could lead them to safety. Thankfully, they accepted. I couldn’t live with myself if I allowed for some children to stay in the middle of a battle and get attacked by an Enforcer.
The younger child, Powder, kept her hand over her eyes and continued singing while the older one, Violet, held her other hand and guided her to follow me. It was a good thing that Powder couldn’t see what was happening and kept her mind occupied. No child should have to witness the massacre that took place. But I have to wonder; why were they brought on the Bridge? Where were their parents? So many questions ran through my mind but I made myself some goals in that moment. Protect these children, find their parents, get them, and anyone else still alive, to safety.
I eventually came to a stop on the bridge and the children stopped as well. I looked around the bridge to see if anyone could have survived but found nothing but more dead bodies. Shit. I noticed that Powder had stopped singing and checked back on the children to find that she had removed her hand from her eyes and was not looking all around the bridge, seeing all the dead bodies and the destruction. Something in me felt like I wouldn’t be finding these kids' parents but I had to stay optimistic for them and keep them from thinking the worst.
I was getting ready to continue walking but I caught the sound of fighting to my left and it caught my attention as I turned to face the direction where the source of the sound was coming from while keeping the children behind me and shielding them. It was hard to see with all the smoke surrounding them but I could see that it was an enforcer fighting against someone from Zaun, who was slightly bigger and burlier than them. The fight soon ended with the bigger man throwing the enforcer to the ground and beating their head in with some metal tool covering his hands. I presume they are gauntlets with how he was using them.
After he finished with the enforcer, he turned his attention to me and the children, staring at us with anger painted in his eyes. Since I was an Enforcer as well, I assumed that I wouldn’t be let off the hook and would end up like my co-worker on the ground so I stood my ground and got ready to defend myself and the children with my rifle, gripping the handle and resting my finger on the trigger in case he starts sprinting towards us. To my surprise, he didn’t rush us but walked towards us very calmly. I kept my guard up but relaxed a little when I saw that his gaze towards us had relaxed and was in a more calmed state. It must have been the children.
My suspicions were correct as, once he reached us, he stopped in front of us and simply stared at the children, who now moved to look at him. He was towering over me but not by much as my height was 6’2 so I could only assume he was 6’5 to 6’7. Though he still had more of a bulkier build than me and could easily crush my head if he wanted to. I didn’t want him to so I put my rifle away and tried my best to paint myself as non-threating and as someone who only wanted to help. The children must have known this man, seeing how they weren’t afraid of him and how he changed once he saw them. Was this their father?
My question was proven to be incorrect when Violet asked about their parents. The man didn’t respond and simply closed his eyes as if he was hurt before looking over at something else. Me and the children followed his eyes to see that he was looking over at two dead bodies, which I could only presume were the parents of these children and was confirmed once the smoke covering them cleared to reveal their bodies to the children. Shit. Seeing the dead bodies obviously broke Violet down as, after a moment of silence, she dropped to her nears and started crying with Powder hugging her tightly, seeing her sister distraught.
After staring at the dead bodies of Vi and Powder’s parents for, what seemed to be, a while, I looked back over towards the burly man to see him dropping his gauntlets to the ground before he picked the two girls into his arms and started carrying them. He stared at me for a moment before he started to walk away, I guess that was just his way of showing his gratitude for protecting the children. I watched him walk away with the children for a while before I turned to head back to Piltover. I started walking towards the city but I suddenly stopped myself.
In front of me, I saw a group of Enforcers watching as the remaining Zaun survivors started walking back to their home before the Enforcers started to walk away as well. Something in me felt.. Different. I didn’t want to go back to Piltover. Why? Why didn’t I want to go back to the place where I was born and raised my entire life? I looked back towards the gauntlet man holding the children and I could see Violet staring in my direction, looking at the group of enforcers with anger in her eyes. The same kind of anger I saw in the man with the gauntlets. What am I going to do..?
I looked down at the helmet in my hand and, after a moment of thought and consideration, tossed it to the ground before going to follow the gauntlet man. I caught up to him quickly and, hearing my footsteps, he turned around to stare at me again. He must have been confused as to why I was now following him but I didn’t say much other than stood beside him and waited for him to make his next move.
I looked up at him to see that he was still watching me with an even more confused look on his face. He eventually caught on to what I wanted to do and continued walking with me following behind him. I would have offered to hold Powder but I didn’t want to cross any boundaries so I simply stayed silent and followed him to Zaun.
These two drama queens/kings are going to be the death of me. I’m going to get SO many complaints from the neighbours over Virion’s constant flirting or Grett’s insults. I actually don’t know which I’d prefer.
