After a long, gut wrenching day of reading countless stories, watching many sad videos, and one long, silent, powerful hug with my mom I find myself reflecting on Gord & The Hip. On Monday the world also lost another Canadian Hero, John Dunsworth, also known as Mr. Lahey. Trailer Park Boys, much like the Hip, are staples of Canadian culture. Although Mr. Lahey & The Boys were seen as more of a satirical, humorous show, they still no doubt had a massive part in developing early 90s Canadianism.   This song is one of my all time favourites and this music video will forever be on replay in my mind.  Even if you have no idea who Gord Downie is, or The Trailer Park Boys, please just listen and appreciate the beautiful music being crafted here. Rest Easy Lahey & Gordo, we miss you so much.
