imagine you had a friend who constantly made jokes at the expense of something you loved. they're never funny, but they seem to expect you to laugh even though the punchline is just, "this thing you love sucks ass". it's not even really a joke, there's nothing funny about it, you can tell that they genuinely actually believe it. but they insist it's just a joke!

no matter what the situation is, they're always bringing the social interaction to a screeching halt with these jokes. nobody ever wants to participate in this joke with them. nobody agrees with the premise. nobody ever knows what to say afterwards, it's just an awkward moment and a subject change. but they just keep doing it.

you have to stop with the self-deprecatory "humor", it's not fun for anyone including you.

i think sonic and trinket are absurdly close friends considering how not long they've known each other. like edging on not normal about each other. like obviously they were together a lot during forces but even then like in my head they clicked the moment they saw each other and became a package deal. i got thinking about how i think the two would like. platonically cuddle as a result of generally being comfortable being in close quarters with each other. like if one of them fell from a great height the other would catch them, and they're always covering each other's backs in battle. they have a near telepathic sense for when the other is in a pinch. and even post forces i think they regularly call and just stay on the line for hours hanging out and not saying anything. also also trinket never told sonic about her whole situationship w infinite until post forces but he knew the whole time. and he should have been upset but he wasn't mainly bc he was lowkey also looking at infinite through his prison bars thinking "would."
