*Avid's tail flicked around nervously, shocked to be standing in front of the very person who staked him. Avid wasn't sure what to think, but he was scared. Even as a demon.*

He spoke with a calm voice which gave a spookier aura than with his usual snarl or hiss with a sentence.

*His voice was shy and sheepish.*

Owen looked him up and down with his arms slightly crossed.
*Avid fidgeted, picking the skin off of his hands without realizing.*
He grabbed Avid's hands.
"don't."
He looked at Avid's palms. Questioned why he even cared then just finished his sentence
"don't do that surely you need your hands for something"
*Avid nodded, obviously curious as to why Owen even cared.*
"abolish has been teaching me to be better I guess"
He said cause he noticed the confusion on Avid's face.
"I'm trying."
*Avid nodded, his tail anxiously flicking around.*
"I apologize for staking you"
He muttered while looking to the side.
*Avid sat there for a moment, trying to process the apology. It felt strange to hear Owen, someone who was usually so cold and stoic, be kind and apologetic. Okay, maybe not exactly kind.*

Owen didn't like this but knew he slightly did genuinely mean it. He took a deep breath and looked at Avid.
"I am not as sorry but I do apologize. You aren't required to forgive me"

He held his head having an unusual headache since vampires shouldn't have them but he did

Owen was sitting at the table bored and exhausted. He was mainly exhausted from Avid screaming in his face and chasing avid off. He was struggling with braiding his hair due to his bandages. He wanted to braid them like how Louis did but he couldn't, so he wanted to rip his hair out.

Scott sighed rather dramatically as he walked into the grand meeting hall, quite tired himself after a long day of messing with the town, dealing with the fledglings shenanigans and being run off by town once again. He was looking forward to finally getting a minute to sit down and breathe, relax. Though when he spotted Owen so frustratingly messing with his hair, he became curious.
"Hello, Owen. Are you alright? You look like you're ready to claw your own scalp out." He asked as he walked over, leaning against the table next to where Owen sat.

He was pulling on the curls in his hair but just was making it more frizzy and he started using his claws to try brushing his hair.

"Well, I think it is when you're sitting at my table, in my castle." He said casually, watching with a curious and skeptical eye as Owen tried to brush out the curls with his claws. He stared for a moment before shuffling his hand into his inventory and pulling out a fancy looking hairbrush, offering it to Owen.
"Use this, darling."
He stared at it for a long moment then took it and stared at it some more.
"what is it."
I'm doing the funniest thing and making him not know what a brush is//
Scott blinked, unsure if he was serious or not before realizing he was. "You.. I'm older than you, how do you not know what a hairbrush is?" He said with a sigh.
"It's a hairbrush. You brush it through your hair to tidy it up. Makes it easier to style. Better than claws."
"I was isolated my whole life"
He pulled his hair from the ponytail and it just dropped down his back then he tried using this thing called a hairbrush.

Scott rolled his eyes as he tsked, just taking the brush from Owens hand as he began brushing it out himself. Being careful not to tug or pull too hard, just brushing out the long head of curls as they fell.
"Just let me do it."
He just sat still making quiet purrs that he was trying very desperately not to let those same purrs be heard.
Scott smiled slightly as he heard those quiet purrs. It was cute to hear someone as grumpy as Owen was actually happy and purring. He decided not to say anything about it, not wanting to scare him off. He just hummed happily, continuing to brush through his curls before he was satisfied.
"There. All cleaned up, much better. Anything else?" He asked. Despite his appearance and demeanor, Scott really had a liking for taking care of people.
"braid it"
He looked up at Scott.
"can you help me braid it"
Surprisingly his eyes looked very soft and sweet when looking up at Scott like he did. It was like a warm brown with a tint of red. He looked as if he didn't massacre Oakhurst 200 years ago.
Scott's eyes fluttered, quite surprised to see Owen look.. soft for once. He decided not to question it, just enjoy it. He gave him a soft smile back and nodded. "Can do." He hummed, running his fingers through the curls a few times before parting them and beginning to braid. "I've never seen you wear it braided before."
"I can't figure out how to braid it"
He huffed out expecting to be laughed at.
"Makes sense. A lot of guys don't learn to braid." He hummed, not laughing or seeming mocking as he continued to braid his hair. Tying it off and placing his hands on Owen's shoulders, leaning over to look at him. "There. You like it?"
He looked it over for a moment then nodded.
"also I never got to learn from the one person that did trust me to do their hair"
Owen looked down at the table he disliked bringing up Louis but felt the desire to talk about him.
"I see. Well, if you wish, I could teach you. So you don't need to call me for it everytime."
He offered, moving away from Owen just so lean against the table like he had before.
He considered it for a long moment of silence.
"I guess. Does this mean you'll be using the 'hair brush' a lot?"
"Yes, and you should too. It's good for you, proper." He informed, handing him the brush again. "You can keep it, if you want. But I don't mind doing your hair for you."
He leaned his head back looking at Scott with his big brown-reddish eyes and just blinked.
"so it's a requirement?"
Scott sighed, giving him a skeptical look.
"Yes, the brush is a requirement. You need it. Do you not like it?"
"I don't understand it." He looked down at the brush.
"why use this thing when I have claws"
*a small bat flies to a nearby tree. Upon closer inspection you can see it has… white bird-like wings?*
*the bat(?) chirps as a greeting*
He just stared at the "bat" initially confused on what it is.
*Owen hears someone snickering but can’t pin point where it’s coming from*
His ears twitched the snickering gave him a headache so he just walked away rubbing his head.
Captor manages to silently creep up behind Owen as he shifted to a more humanoid form
“boo”
*she whispered softly in his left ear, he could feel her breath on her neck*
Owen very quickly kicked captor in the stomach due to not being used to being "scared" or someone trying to scare him.
*Captor quickly doubles over heaving*
”ow fu-“ *cough cough*
“My apologies, I only meant to say hi.” He says, standing up again, chuckling.
"that does not require you to try sneaking up on someone who is already on guard for the humans."
”yeah I know but jeez could you have some mercy..??” Captor complains, huffing.
He scoffed.
"you deserved it"
”ugh, must you be grumpy all the time?”
"I do whatever I please to do."
”you’re a drama king that’s what you are.”
she appears mildly annoyed. She’s looking at the cloudy sky
“huh, looks like it’s gonna rain…”
he mumbles to himself.
"I am not a drama king you are just a pain in the ass to deal with"
He looked at them for a moment
"I'd hate to be your sire"
”of course you would, I’d hate to be your fledging given how Legundo turned out,” she snaps.
"I turned legundo against his will to make him face the monster he was of course he wouldn't turn out right. I personally wanted him to kill everyone"
