one example where, as a hyper-visual sort of person, i approached this as i would when perusing books: i gravitated towards it because there was something pretty to draw my attention to it. shallow, yes.

not only that, but i’m rarely keen (i.e., terribly picky) about fics featuring kids, especially OCs, and i was ready to kind of pass on this, but curiosity killed the cat as they say, and i figured a quick sweep of the first chapter would help me deduce whether it was worth proceeding. and i did. and i’m fairly happy about it.

scorpius and OC, aurelian, are incredibly cute and precocious here, and the development between draco and hermione from the start up until the current chapter has been a delightful and tense read.

And she remembered when she met him, it was so clear that he was the only one for her. They both knew it, right away. And as the years went on, things got more difficult - they were faced with more challenges.  She begged him to stay. Try to remember what they had at the beginning.

He was charismatic…magnetic…electric and everybody knew it. When he walked in, every woman’s head turned, everyone stood up to talk to him.

He was like this hybrid, this mix of a man who couldn’t contain himself. She always got the sense that he became torn between…being a good person and missing out on all of the opportunities that life could offer a man as magnificent as him.

And in that way she understood him…and she loved him.
