It seems like this ability for this town to be normal just left on a permanent vacation. I mean…I use to beg for excitement but I never wanted anything like this. It makes me wonder if we could ever get to a point where things could go back to “normal” I really hope you get more customers though, I can’t imagine how tough it is for things to be quiet. It took awhile for people to want to come back to the dance studio. 

Why thank you, Jackie. I could probably find someone from the Southside to help me out, but it'll probably be easier to convince Nate to do it. Then again, I might need someone who probably won't just outright box the guy in the nose. He can definitely be intimidating; it's the going straight past intimidating to starting a fight that I would worry about, honestly. Though, it's always interesting watching him fight so that might not be a bad thing either. Thank you for that, Jackie, but I think I'll refrain from having you transport yourself down to this particular area; you don't deserve the kind of catcalls and bullshit someone as beautiful as you would have to endure.

It does seem that way, but we can hope that things are finally going to start calming down now. It brings to mind that old adage of 'be careful what you wish for' you know? I think the customers will start trickling back in soon enough now that they've managed to catch the serial killer threatening everyone. We've already had a few of our regulars start coming back, thankfully. Oddly enough, the garage never slowed down in business so that helped a little.

I can't really say that I'm too surprised by that, I'm afraid. NS kids are spoiled as shit; I don't expect many of them to have too much response, especially not for their teachers and such. It's good that you're mostly healed up, at least. I'm sure my experiences at SS High were probably different than yours on the NS, but I feel you. Don't let the munchkins get under your skin, Berry.

Riverdale was never quite boring so to say, but like you said it's definitely never been like this. It seems like things are slowly getting back to normal now, though. The only good thing I can think of that's come from this is our dear old idiot of a Sheriff no longer being in charge. Maybe now the mayor will actually appoint someone who knows what they're doing. I’d say there’d be an election, but given everything that’s happened I’m betting the mayor just puts someone into office.

I will be trying my best to keep up with it. I mean I think that is worth a try right? Just make it so nothing can come in and point it in another direction. I am willing to try just about anything to make things at least a little normal again.

I wouldn’t bank on people lining up exactly, given my Ghoulie status, but you’re probably not wrong. I’m sure I could convince Nate to fill the role for a moment; just long enough to make the asshole back off. That’s true. I’ve had one or two other people suggest having company with me whenever he’s there as a means to make sure he behaves; I might just have to look into that idea, too.

You know, every time I think this town can’t get any crazier, they just have to throw another curveball. At least now that the real murderer is behind bars, things will hopefully start to calm down for real. People can finally get back into the swing of things. Hopefully we start getting more customers at both the shop and the gym; we’ve had a serious lack of customers, and I feel like it’s partially to blame on people having been too scared to go anywhere recently.

Exactly. You just have to keep a positive outlook on it; at least you didn’t break your neck or leg or do something to completely mess up your livelihood. Oh yes. That’s something I learned from a young age, but kids that you’re teaching can be so much worse. I’m glad you didn’t take an eye out or anything like that, though. That would have been a much worse thing for your students to see.

You shouldn’t keep quiet and let him get away with it, that’s for sure. I don’t know if I can advocate for hitting him as that could land you in legal trouble, but you definitely shouldn’t let him believe that sexually harassing you is okay because he’s doing you a favor. That basically continues to fuel rape culture, in the terms that a man can do anything he wants because he’s a good guy or because he’s doing something for you, he’s entitled to something in return.

I’m sure you can’t afford to fire him or switch contractors, but you should make sure that you’re not ever dealing with him alone and that other people are always around when he is, just in case.

If I said he was sexually harassing me would they really arrest me for hitting him? Meh, what am I saying. Of course they would. That’s partially why I’m holding off on doing anything to be honest. You’re right, I suppose. That being said, if I point out that he needs to stop harassing me, and he ignores me...well the gloves might come off at that point. Jail time might be worth it.

Ideally, if I could find another contractor that would do all the work that needs to be done for a low price I would kick his ass out to the street in a heartbeat. Sadly, most of the good contractors like that are way beyond my price range. Thank you for the advice, though. I hadn’t really thought about too many non-violent response, if I’m being honest.

Have you ever had that inner debate whether you should ignore some asshole’s sexual innuendos because he’s essentially renovating your place for next to nothing? It’s always an interesting one for me. Do I deck him in the face or just smile, act flattered, and deck him after he finishes working on the apartment above my gym?

Anyway. What’s everyone else up to? Hopefully things have calmed down a little, though that seems to be asking too much from this town.

Okay that is a tough one. While I would be tempted to wait for the job to be done, maybe you could put some message out in the air that you are taken? Maybe that would get them to lay off? It may be a stretch, but it is worth a shot. If they are a decent enough person it will help. If not do you really want them renovating your apartment? 

Nothing too crazy. Work. shopping. spending time with great people. Yeah any routine and relaxing is almost worrying in this town.

I’m not taken by any means, though I suppose it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to make him think I am so he stops. Maybe I can convince one of the boys to act like my SO, come in all pissed off that someone been so obnoxiously hitting on his woman. This is actually a brilliant idea, Jackie. Here she hoping the guy does lay off if he thinks I’m off the market; I might just have to punch him if he doesn’t. Then I’ll lose my contractor and have to start this whole ordeal again. If they weren’t so expensive and so obnoxiously Northside, I’d hire one of the ones I know are reputable.

It’s good that you’re managing to keep yourself busy despite all the crazy shit that seems to go down in this town. You just keep up with that routine, though. Things are bound to start going back to normal if we force it, right?

Nothing like doing some shopping for special occasions to make you realize how much you miss going to the mall as often as possible. I don’t know about you guys but there is something so therapeutic about spending hours going through beautiful clothes and trying them on. Now I know I need to fit this back into my schedule since it has faded away amidst all the chaos.

I can’t say that I can sympathize with ever being able to go on a mall shopping spree, but it sounds like a good idea regardless. That being said, I do love being able to try on a bunch of new clothes; I just rarely get to buy any of it. What’s this special occasion you’re prepping for? It’s gotta be something pretty big, I would assume?

My week is fairly boring, if I’m being honest. Trying to get some renovations done to the gym, but beyond that it’s oddly pretty standard. It’s kind of unsettling how used to the chaos I’ve become that ‘standard’ and ‘normal’ seem odd now.
