your portrayal of stsg post hi in 27 bones is one of my favorites ever. their relationship (either platonic or romantic idc i eat them up in any and every font) is so important to me, and the way you describe their complexities just makes me go asdfghjklasdfghjkl like yes give the resentment, the miscommunication, the misunderstandings, the tenderness, the devotion and the love😭 i'm not exaggerating when i say i teared up in that last scene with yuji (my baby boy). i was really feeling suguru when he was like "there are very few lines he wouldn’t cross to keep this" bc same

I’m actually really sad that canon kind of glossed over the reason for their “split” and it got mostly reduced to Suguru’s mental spiral. Like, yes, all of that is true. But good god there was still so much love there.

Satoru could have killed Suguru point blank at any point for the span of an entire decade.

Suguru could have told Satoru to kill all those cult people and Satoru would have done so without question.

Satoru bases his moral compass on Suguru’s empathetic ideals from their school days, and Suguru is kept on a leash by the refusal to treat Satoru like nothing more than a weapon like everybody else.

Idk there’s just something intrinsically poetic about it to me.

Yuji is their (last?) chance keep that ship from heading to their inevitable doom. >.>

considering just how much suguru and satoru hate gojo-sensei, I wonder how they'll react to finding about kaori itadori, aka kenjaku. the one who genuinely fucked up yujis life from before he was even BORN. got w the reincarnation of sukunas dead twin and gave birth to yuji for the sole purpose of creating a perfect vessel, also basically sees yuji as his favorite lil science experiment. well. we dk if he gen cares ab yuji since he's so cryptic but suguru and the rest on another hand will not be taking that info lightly. actually. wtf is kenjaku up to rn..?.. i can't recall if you ever mentioned kaori or kenjaku in ur fic(n if u did I'm SO sorry it's been awhile) but it makes sense since yuji doesn't know about choso, there's no way he'd know anything about the true nature of his birth.

ik you've stated that yujis cog mentality is a spoiler so it rlly does make me wonder just how canon diverged from shibuya. obvi he still fights mahito bc of the scars. but like. what else. IM SO INTRIGUEDDD

As for Kenjaku… no, I don’t believe I’ve brought them up in 27 Bones yet. I’m not sure if they’re going to play a big role either considering I’ve only got like 15 chapters left to wrap up the entire story 😭 but they’ll make an appearance in one capacity or another ;3

Okay I have decided on my question! You said Yuji knew they were going to keep his head after the execution, and I’m assuming he also knew why. In that case, from Yuji’s understanding, why was he being executed and why were they going to keep his head? I don’t want to necessarily know the actual reason, but just what he was told.

For Yuji it was a simple case of: Shibuya was a shit show, thousand of people died because of him, the suspended execution sentence was rightfully revoked for the greater good.

The head… well, they wanted a trophy and proof of Sukuna’s “fall from grace”. Most of the immense power of the King of Curses gone in one feel swoop.
